linux post-processing question

I was happy to get two 4gig plus samples of raw video at 960x544 with my 600d.  Previous tests saved videos as RAW but now they are saved as multiple DNG files - I'm not sure why.  Anyway the post-processing tools for linux want to start with RAW first.  I'm not sure how to get these into a viewable video format.  Thanks in advance.
