Overlays missing during mlv recording on 5D2

All overlays are missing during recording and the aspect ratio is set to full screen rather than the 16x9 cropped 1728x972 I have my MLV set to record at. Overlays pre-recording in live view are there, but some are missing and the screen frame is positioned towards the bottom with a large black bar along the top. Doesn't seem balanced. Ideas?

Turned Global Draw off while recording?
