FFMpeg MLV Native Support with AnotherGUI
« on: June 03, 2014, 04:36:14 AM »
Hello All, first I would like to thank jimmyD30 for the video link to "Another GUI" with FFMpeg .
I Check out this program and since its uses ffmepg I thought I would give it a try with MLV straight from my 5D2 no DNG's
and as reported ffmpeg will read Magic Lantern MLV Raw v2.0 Native.

Got the last ffmpeg but everything got this weird but kinda nice teal cast, though it is absolutely not correct, it is inspirational. But the UI is terrible in my taste and it doesn't seem to read the fps of the source files, it only goes with what the presets have. Could not see in the metadata either that it reads fps.
Also, I was once able to choose AVID DNxHD but after that its just been stuck on that preset and I can't get back to selecting anything else. Thought maybe this could be an alternative to watching MLV/RAW files, but seeing as MLRV is lightyears ahead at this stage, I'll stick to that.

But thanks for sharing.
