Just an idea that came to mind, would it be possible to code(does the hardware architecture allow) a recording playing over the onboard speaker, so that while recording video it would mimic a old film camera sound i.e Arri 435 , 535 sr16 magazine sound? super gimmic feature but would love to hear that sound next to my ear again  :D

I'm sure he means playing the sound when starting recording  ;)

if you have a canon 24-105 mm lens just turn on the noisy stabilizer, listen to the sound via ML enabled headphone jack and you're good.  8)

Im crying and laugh at the same time, sorry...  Im trying to cut off all the sounds in my rig that don't need to be there...

Perhaps we could get a whole sound scheme going for various events. Default ML config shall be the Windows XP login chime upon boot.

There was a joke among photographers 5 years ago or so based on the massive popularity of ring tones for cell phone.
"Download your shutter tone paks from your favorite photographer."
"Model encouragement shutter tone pak"

This calls for a monophonic ring tone player in ML.
