I just installed a nightly build of ML and can't find what is described in the user guide as follows:

Settings for auto ramping:

Mode: sunset / sunrise / auto. In sunset mode, the exposure will always increase. In sunrise mode, the exposure will always decrease. This idea was suggested by Tom Lowe on RedUser.net forum.

I used this function when v2.3 came out a while ago. Is it still there? Are the alternatives just as easy and useful for filming sunrise/sunset transitions?

It was removed and replaced with AutoETTR + Deflicker

You can do the deflicker in camera (it's a separate module now) or in post

PressureFM

You can save a lot of time by just doing sunrise and sunset, and then blend together in post.

Depending on subject, of course.

You could also save a lot of time by not shooting a timelapse...

There's just no way to capture full day into full night without some kind of exposure change.

I felt it was really easy and worked well with the old way:

I will try Auto ETTR and see how it compares.
