[Waiting on merge back from TL] Full time color option 5d mark 3
« on: February 04, 2014, 09:05:11 PM »
A question.
How about a "Full time color option" in advanced menu in 5d mark 3 and also other cameras of course instead of having to press half shutter in 3x zoom mode when global draw on to get color view? It,s a little slower but the picture is of so much higher quality.
Love your work!

Have you tried the preview options already in the advanced menu?

Wonder if there is a way to improve its speed or frame skip like the USB jpegs do on older cameras.

@Audionut
Tried todays build from here http://builds.magiclantern.fm/#/

Looking and advanced in raw menu(mlv or raw) and I can,t find this option on my 5d mark 3. Is it supposed to be found in "preview"? Are you sure it,s implemented to the 5d mark 3? Am I looking in the wrong menu section?

I might be totally of my charts here and if that,s so please bear with me.

What I,m after is having color on in "auto" preview mode. Simply because "auto" mode is giving me correct framing with global draw on. It,s black and white until I press halfshutter then it turns color and of high quality(although slow framerate).
"Canon" preview mode gives the regular "guess-style" framing.
Heard there is a "Full time color mode" on eos 7D.
