CF Card not showing up with card reader but files are still show on cam

Hello,

I just recently added ML (this is my first post!) and all of my files are showing up on my 5D3 but when I put the CF card into a card reader it won't show up. I've tried it with two different readers and on a Mac and a PC. The SD card from the same shoot worked perfectly fine in the card reader. I was able to get the files off of the camera itself but I was wondering if I did something wrong when I set up the CF card? I would prefer to use a card reader.

Having trouble pulling the CF card up in a card reader.

It reads with the camera though.

Try a third one. Junk readers (or just outdated ones) are widely spread. I recommend Kingston FCR-HS3.
