Can I just format a card after filming with a ML card? Or it is better to remove the video files when the card is connected to a computer. If I format will I have to reinstall ML onto the card?

Thanks

nanomad

You can format the card in-camera. ML adds a "Keep ML" option to the format dialog
EOS 1100D | EOS 650 (No, I didn't forget the D) | Ye Olde Canon EF Lenses ('87): 50 f/1.8 - 28 f/2.8 - 70-210 f/4 | EF-S 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 | Metz 36 AF-5

And if you format card in PC you have to run EOScard to make the card boot able again copy and paste the original files. Or do exactly the same as you did the first time. but Nanomad's post is by far the simplest.
T3i and Kiss X4 (550d (T2i)) Tamron 18-200mm, Sigma 28-70mm f2.8 (need firmware upgrade) Olympus 50mm f1.8  Olympus 28mm f2.8 and Olympus 24mm f2.8

I'm sorry to bother you guys but what if I don't have the "Keep ML [q]" words on the screen? - it's just usual 5d3 formatting  :-\ [yes I have ml installed]

Trotel

Same here-  5DM3, there is no "keep ml" option in the  format menu.

You could delete all photos option?

Trotel

It seems that the "Keep ML" option in format on the 5DM3 is missing.

Can others confirm?

I don't even own a 5D3 and I found it:
