Compression efficiency depends on scene and exposure. Overexposure may break compression.
Some guy here did some thorough investigation. Can't find it right now.

hi bilal,
when I record using crop mood 1x3 higher (1392x2350) and 1x1 1440p, why its required recording speed is unstable? sometimes it need above 100mb/s or 95mb/s but sometimes I can record more than 10 seconds in the same setting?

hi bilal..
is it possible to add 3:2 ratio 1x1 and 1x3 mood preset?
I think this is more versatile in re-framing in post..

thanks.

** I changed my mind.. 3:2 in 1x3 mood will be 4.5:1 ratio which is  too wide lol..

In crop mood build you have have:

1. Highest possible resolution: 5.2K preset which gives 1736x2178 (5208x2178 after de-squeezing) 1x3 in 2.39:1 AR at 23.976 FPS (Full sensor width).
2. The only preset which gives 3:2 AR and full sensor @ 23.976 FPS is 1080p preset which gives 1736x1160 resolution in 3x3.

This way you will break sensor physics,
1736 is full sensor width already, you can't get more than 1736 in 3x3 (in none crop mode), and wider aspect ratio isn't related here . . the maximum width will always be 1736 in none crop mode (3x3).

how about recording in 3:2 with 1x3?

If you won't run the tests we ask, we can't help you.  We're trying to work out why it isn't working, so that it can be fixed.
sorry I forgot to mention.. I just tested your instruction and masc but still the same..

unfortunately I can't transcode the file to mlv format
and tested in davinci instead, but missed to make correct aspect ratio like yours.. I used 1 x 0.78 lol
as you told before in davinci I saw a bit noise so I upload to youtube because I heard it has its own denoise

here is the result

Try to choose an easy small name. If your file is corrupted, there is no fix (with MLVApp).
but why when I choose single file transcode is fine? and failed when I chose transcode folder?
if I use davinci there is no corrupted file..

You get this, when MLVApp can't read the file. The reason might be a corrupt file, or folder/file names which parts of the backend can't access.
so how to fix it?

Does it work if you remove the spaces from the filename?
if I just using transcode file is working without removing the space from the file name.

I don't keep the mlv clips sorry. But lossless dng's are smaller in size I think than mlv clips.

Ok. thanks. I will try to transcode it using mlvapp

Look the shadows, the lights is pretty strong that may be why

Also, how do you import DNG frames into MLV ?
in mlvapp I use file>transcode and import then chose file
but I've got an error when using transcode folder

There it is https://we.tl/t-zY1M4wMThN

thanks a lot.. 1.7Gb is too much 😁

I thought this is MLV raw clip..
#45
it will close if you add more saturation to it..
if you notice, the two image has different color balance that why you can't just add saturation to make it match
I think try to edit same file from both editor and see the result..

What's interesting is Adobe seemingly intended lumetri to be ACR for video but it's not even close in capability.
may I try some of your mlv raw clips?
thanks.
