Indeed, gnarly colors. Thanks for sharing @Stousen!

Mind sharing us which build was used for this ride?

Was this in MCM Rewired mode or Anamorphic 4/5K?

Post-workflow?

Thanks!! :)

I used a June build, 13th? And I pushed the mcm rewired 1080p 14bit !
Also Viltrox Speedbooster + a very cheap Russian 50mm F1.8
Post workflow: simple adjustments to get the colors and brightness right in MLVapp, LUT also applied in Mlvapp :) clipping and last edits done in FCPx  ( especially stabilization since yea, I was on a boat ;) )
The conditions with great light etc didn't do any harm either ;) Glad you appreciated it!!

Nice!! How is the liveview working while recording in anamorphic?

You just ignored the reply of a main MLVApp developer. Not just ignored, but also ironized it ("feel like I'm getting old"). That's quite disrespectful, sir.
We are not selling you anything, btw. MLVApp is open source and free software. Everybody using it is encouraged to report bugs.
You won't get anything from me anymore.

ps: This is not a place for self-promotion.

Nope. MLVApp can HQ stretch but not crop. But all NLEs are able to crop.

Ah, I see!
Thanks!

You can use the transformation tab. There is a horizontal stretch function.

Yes! But can I Crop an image in mlvapp?? For example, with 2x stretch I get 2:77:1 aspect ratio, want to crop it down to 2:39:1?

Hi,

Awesome news. I thought of one thing that I would personally love, since shooting some anamorphic right now, and that is perhaps a way of doing cropmarks inside of MLVapp? So that you actually could see what will show in different aspect ratios?
Any ideas?

Cheers

Also, If im correct, you do also really appreciate Dannes work on his spare time ?for you to be able to use your own personal canon m2, right?
Dont forget this, he doesnt work for you. He works for his own interest.

""
If I could i would gladly donate to you Danne, but no way on how to do that yet.
Still interesting to follow all your input and enthusiasm, shining gold in the everyday life.
Thanks.

@Danne Any news about dev on the M2 ? I see new builds on the M every 5 days or so but nothing on the M2 for more
than a week :)

Not that the builds that we have right now are unusable don't get me wrong, but that the better strategy is to work as much as possible on the M2 so it catches it's feature/rec mode gap than add features to both the M and M2, at least that's what I'm thinking, you're the dev and it's your schedule :D

Still, looking at evolution on the M and the newly added "Switch" menu i'm thinking about getting an M too (Get it hehe, "M too"/M2... I have to go)

Hey Guys,

Has anyone tried to compare superscale in resolve with scaling in mlv app?
Anyone can get me through the basics of what the differences there might be and is it worth the extra time in workflow with scaling in resolve?

Thanks!

Thank you. Yes, there is a way to trim: use CutIn / CutOut (2nd box in edit panel). After doing this, only the trimmed part is exported.

Ahh, the app just got even better :)! Great, thanks!

Love this app! :-*

But is there anyway to regulate what frames that should be exported?
Lets say I have som unstable frames in the beginning of a recording, would be great to trim that away to save export time:)

Is it the same like I have here? I don't have HDR on, but doing some dual-iso tests.
Max iso here is 800, but I have this weird black wavy lines moving. Might be the electrical light? Shutterspeed is set to 1/54.
Grateful for any input.

Cheers
