So there is no effort to do it for those cameras so I should never expect it -- no forum about the effort or place to collaborate or get updates. But maybe it will happen on any timeline imaginable if someone with the skills and interest takes it on. Got it.

I'm about to buy my Canon r6. I've had excellent success with ML on my 6D over the years. Can I still extend the video time with ML for the r6? It looks like there was some confusion about that. Also, I don't see it in the downloads, so where do I download ML for the r6? I honestly did search the forums a bit before asking this question. Is it missing from that page because it's not yet stable?

I guess I'm not sure what's been suggested as the solution. What are the steps?

I am looking for some basic tips to have less depth of field in low light situations. Specifically, if my daughter is performing in a mostly darkened room on stage and my camera is on a tripod, what are my best settings to make sure she isn't just in focus on one part of the stage and blown out if she moves forward or back? My goal is infinite focus, which can be tough in low light.

ISO, aperture, and any hidden ML tricks?

Also, perhaps is there a thread with post-processing compression techniques? I don't need 20GB for a kid's play.

Wonderful. I went with the first option. Now all I need to know is how I can have the LCD screen off when recording so I can just sit it in the dark audience on a tripod and watch without bothering anyone.

Not a heavy user -- just a dad trying to record video of his 5 year old doing her ballet in the dark without having to restart the camera or have a glaring preview screen rolling.

I have installed ML on my 6D (on my 40MB/sec 32GB SD card). Where is this feature (2 features?) I want and how do I use it? Sorry for my ignorance. Searches pulled up a lot of information about much more complex ideas than I'm trying to solve.

I'd like to be able to record video from a tripod (5 year old dance recitals come to mind) without the backlit screen turning on.

1) It's bright and distracting for audience members.
2) It uses battery quicker.
3) The screen is unnecessary when I have a set focal length that won't change.

Is this possible? I have a Canon 6D.

The data transfer blinking light is solved with some tape, but that would be nice to turn off for that specific function.

I'm new here and looking for two things:
1) Does ML allow for longer than 29:59 videos on my Canon 6D? Does it allow for more than 4GB?
2) Is there a way I can turn off the video preview screen when recording, to eliminate the light source at my kid's play and lengthen battery life? I have it set to a standard focal length and then just leave it on the tripod.
