Wich Model of the Lexar did you get exactly? I was hoping to get good speeds with the new 1066x 128GB Lexar cards...
#27
Anyone tried the new Lexar 128GB 1066x yet?
And to the 128GB Transcend users, how stable is the overall handling with those cards? Do they have to be deep formatted every time before use?
#28
This phenomenon has been discussed before.

It would be great if you could try to include the just announced 1066x cards from Lexar!

Also very interesting would be to find out, if the new sandisk and lexar cards higher capacities (>64GB) now perform at least as good as the 64GB cards or if theiy are even better. Because most 1000x cards have their peak performance at 32 and 64gb. Above the performance usually became worse.

Lexar also announced updated CF cards with 1066x instead of 1000x. 160mb/s read and 155mb/s write speed.

Any chance to get a high quality version to us?
#32
Any footage of the anamorphic setup to share yet?
#34
There definitely should be a warning in the threads for 5D3 that the camera boot up time changes if ML is installed!
#35
Have you tried any of the speed improving tricks? Your test seems quite superficial.
#36
This seems to be Ted's Test: http://ramasolaproductions.com/6.html

Strange, that the card does not perform any better (or worse) then (some of) the 1000x cards.
Which ML settings did you use? Have your tried 1920x1280?

Any progress on the issue?

Feature Requests / Re: Disable BootDisk FIR for 5D3

When going back to using the camera as a photo camera I lost a couple of shots cause of the very long boot time it has with the bootflag enabled. On a job this can turn out very bad.

It sounds like it was possible to use this feature also as an on sensor gradual nd filter without the resolution loss even.
#40
It is common practice to sell one item as a sample to an interested customer.
#41
How much is the Lexar 128GB doing?
#42
The right adapter will bring the right performance for the job. You just have to find the right adapter...
#43
Does it at least work for 1:2,35 cinemascope?
#44
What is the benchmark saying?
#45
Any longterm experiences with the Transcend 1000x 128GB?
Seems to be a pretty decent performer @ 1080p... Is it keeping the speed until the card is filled up?
How far can one push the resolution with this one?
#46
So, have you been able to actually record from the camera to the attached SSD yet?
#47
Photo zoom lenses have exposure hiccups if zoomed, even if they have a constant exposure.
#48
Which camera calibration process are you using in Lightroom/ACR right now?
#49
Is 25p recording actually enabled?

It would be interesting to be able to start raw recording to the cf card and h.264 proxy recording to the SD card simultaneously with the dedicated canon start video recording button.

I was now able to record 1920x720 to my 32GB Sandisk 60mb/s card until the file size reached 4GB then the recording stopped.
~1min +08sec @25fps
