My apologies, I haven't been keeping up as far in this thread. I have only tested with 5x crop and i have been able to change resolutions without any issues.

@Danne, the .lua script you added works fine with Autorun on startup. No problems there, thanks! Just have to remember to be in photo mode when turning on the camera.

dfort's crop-rec doesnt work yet

Working fine for me on 70D so far, need to get the 95 sandisk SD to keep pushing the limits - I've only got the 90 MicroSD with adapter currently. Still able to get some good speeds out of it though! And I can change resolution higher than 1728, so definitely working!

Since hardcoding sd_uhs.mo seems a bit far off here is a lua snippet which will start the SD overclock patching upon starting the camera. Lua module has to be enabled and the script needs to be set to Autorun to ON.
Put following in a file with the extension .lua and put it in the scripts folder.

I have put up a hardcoded 160MHZ 700D build in my repository to be tested. It´s the same as for 100D and eosm. If anybody tests this, please feedback here what´s working or not. Fried cards or not etc...

Hi @Danne, thanks for your work on hardcoding the overclock. Really saves time for testing purposes and then to commit to shooting - well done. Any chance you could do the same for 70D? (combine dfort's crop_rec_4k.57614b3.2018Mar14.70D112.zip and your 160MHZ hardcode)

Such exciting times for ML with these constant advancements.

Thanks again, yes my issue was wrong menu selection. Confirming P works well for me now after some guidance. mlv app is good, but didn't fix focus pixels.

Yes I did, but yours looks a little different. I must check for the latest version I guess as I am still seeing option for rec709 to LogC etc. Your screenshot now makes more sense. If I am understanding correctly, linear means what it would look like without adding any curves, just a straight export to ProRes .mov? Beautiful. Thanks mate. Any ideas to add slog2 by any chance? What is cineon, XYZ and aces by the way?

Thank you for this exciting work on Switch.
I was used to MLRV exporting to .mov and adding a curve (log-c, c-log or slog2) to then go straight into Premiere Pro to edit and grade using 70d. After now playing with EOSM raw I've found switch gets rid of focus pixels, which MLRV can't do on its own - huge thanks.

My question is, to get the same effect as before, do I just select Rec709 - Clog or Rec709 - LogC before export to ProRes to get the same solution from Switch? Will it net the same result? Sorry if I have missed something here. I think the reference to rec709 had thrown me.

That looks fine, but it's way out of my price range (around $400 here), also with adapter it's not so light combo with EOS M anymore.

Could you elaborate on manufacturers of these lenses? I managed to find some from Tamron and Fujinon.

I don't say it is, i'm saying that the only difference is in flange distance, and some sellers do not make difference between C and CS mount, hint would be size of an image circle, 1/2" being borderline size (at least i understood that from wiki).

Anyway I ordered this Tamron 8mm for 2/3" sensor http://www.tamron-usa.com/IO/IndOp/prod/23fm08l.php when it arives i'll do some tests and post results in case someone else is solving the same problem.

For us newer to ML on the 70d, were the FPS override issues with speeding up or slowing down the frame rate? Or both? Is there anyway of getting this module unlocked on the current release so we could play with the timers more and test it out again?

I have contacted @mk11174  but I've yet to hear back about the next stage of porting 1200d.

I have a Mac and it was a very simple process. I just used the terminal code (listed in prior steps) and dragged it onto the terminal window..I didnt need to use macboot.

Anyway, just to confirm you are up and running with ML now?

Greetings,

After going through what seemed like a process some sort of wizard might use to summon the devil, I was able to get ML for the 1200D onto a 64GB memory card, with boot record. I'm on a Mac, so the process was especially convoluted.

Anyway, I've got the 1200D.FIR, the ML build from July 30th all on there in the root folder. It seems to install just fine, and without a memory card in I can use the camera as normal, however if I put my 1200D.FIR card in there I get an error:

I own a Rebel T5 for the american market:  DS126491 as the model and the error reads:

My firmware definitely was 1.0.1 and my camera is, ostensibly, a 1200D.

What have I done wrong? I'm not in the business of trying to summon demons often, so this is confusing.
Did you update the firmware first before installing ML? Did you follow all steps in the link above in the correct order? Did you get to the =) stage? Do you have another card to test it on?

So i've taken 3 random .cr2 files shot on the 1200d and had a look what the black and white levels were. We can see they are BlackLevel=2046 and WhiteLevel=12749 or near enough.
