General Help Q&A / Re: Can I disable video?

Appreciate the link Alex. Please excuse me for a moment while I go off to hate myself for not having coding knowledge to make this happen.
So close yet so far  :'(

That's not what I meant but I guess the answer is no. Would be cool if magic lantern had the option to make the camera act as a sound recorder exclusively.. with a 32 bit depth option ;)

Just tried this script
Threw in a 5 second clip (120 frames of 1728x972 14bit) along with option 12 and the process took 4.5mintues is that right? Seems really really slow

@DeafEyeJedi Can you tell me how I go about updating the FUSE Library? I'm not great with Macs

@dmilligan When I include "--fix-pattern-noise" in Windows Command Prompt it's applied successfully.

Is anyone successfully making these changes through http://localhost:8000/ on Windows or Mac?

Also how is MLVFS able to remove fixed pattern noise when I'm not giving it a suitable darkframe? Should I be providing darkframes if so how?

Can somebody please explain to me how to use 'Fix Pattern Noise' with MLVFS?
When I turn it 'ON' and refresh the web page, it doesn't seem to make any visual changes to my DNG files. I tried in both Windows 7 and Mac without success.

Using MLV Dump I can successfully remove fixed pattern noise using a dark frame.

7D Users,

I played around with the 10/12bit Magic Lantern build for 7D found here: https://bitbucket.org/reddeercity/magic-lantern_10-12bit/downloads/magiclantern-10bit_12bit_raw_twk_crop_rec.2016Dec01.7D203.zip
I was shocked when I managed over 2min of continuous 2520x1200 video @ 24fps with working Liveview and in camera playback! I used a Lexar 64GB 1066x card.

Here's a guide for noobs like myself who wish to try it out.

-In Modules menu enable mlv_play.mo, raw_rec.mo and raw_twk.mo.
-In Movie menu set FPS override to 24 FPS Exact.
-Enable RAW video and set Bit depth to 10, return to Liveview and do 5x zoom, return to Movie menu set resolution to 2520x1200,
-In Overlay menu set Global Draw to OFF, return to Liveview in 5x zoom
-Hit record!

When the camera is turned off and in some other situations when you attempt to record in 5x zoom mode Liveview will freeze. Go back to Overlay menu, enable Global Draw again, return to Liveview 5x zoom, go back again and disable Global Draw, return to Liveview one last time, hit record and you will again be able to view what you are recording.

Most of the time I get around 1min40sec of continuous 2.5k video :)

Edit: I've noticed there's a few pixles in the bottom right corner of the video that do strange things..

Hello, I just want to thank all the developers for the work done, I wish this will one day be ported to 7D, old camera but still doing an amazing job when used with ML.

+2

I don't post and there are probably many others like me but I find myself following along discussions like these.
All I see is page after page of green matrix symbols and sit here in awe at the ones who are able to stop bullets mid flight  :)

Is there a way to disable video recording but still get audio files when I press rec?

I've been using MLVFS exclusively but decided to give mlv_dump a try and noticed the images come out a little different, it's very subtle but with mlv_dump the darker pixels seem darker any ideas why?

Hello,
Playing around with ML for the first time and the Dual ISO feature is amazing!
This is my first pic and I already see the potential!
7D + Sigma 18-35 lens + ISO 100/1600

And how it would have looked at just ISO 100 (TERRIBLE!)
