viva la france

I've been trying it... i see my folder with tiffs updating. its sticking together tiffs right? i guess i just don't know how to get a video out of it. its disappearing after the folder is done. then it says "OK" and theres a little switch box that says "kill" or "quit" how to use these three buttons? and how to get a video out of it? and thanks seems very interesting/promising. the next advancements will no doubt be software related in regards to magic lantern.

very cool and not trying to downplay it at all but the problem with this mode is its impossible to use it for filmmaking because you can't really frame. theres no live view just the choppy 6fps preview looking thing. if we could see real time the frame then it would be useful. I used to shoot 1920x800 with it on the previous builds which would be best best res before but never used it because shooting 1800x768 in crop mode was wiser to frame and use. if somebody could get it so we could see the framing in real time this would be the best cheapest small camera on earth for filmmaking at this time. 2 cents

nice. just can't bring myself to use the 720 3x3 setting i always see aliasing...but i see why you used it. the anamorphic probably hides it a bit and you get more real estate and 4;3

I really want to try this but it seems pretty hard. I'm basically retarded.   :P

looks great

shooting tomorrow. been using the build with sound and compressed raw but i noticed that something is wrong with it. some clips are fine others are split up and the have there own folders in resolve. the clips that are good don't look like folders they look like film strips. using danes switch to make the dngs. looking for a gold master for my shoot. probably doesn't exist but i thought id ask. thanks.

ok same here. i thought maybe the mark iii was different than my eos m.

how can you frame? i wanna use the 5x crop mode whatever its called but i can't see the framing at higher resolutions. can you see it on a monitor? I don't have one to try?

so are you going to shoot 1080 or crop? what do you prefer?

the only way to emulate that video is to be 18 years old and be a youtube "creator."  :P

so i tried it. 1.5 and...its really great. maybe some of the best looking images I've ever gotten out of a magic lantern post production tool. but...i see focus pixels! god damn focus pixels always ruin everything. I mean they are much worse with the stripe correction turned off. if you turn it on they go away a little bit. but they are still there. I know this is another guys software but any way to tweek it? also the mov export doesn't seem to work. the dng works fine. feel like i could use my eos m for a film if i could just find the right post production tools...excited for dannes new switch app with gui as well. currently using switch. thanks guys.

i use eos m. i shoot raw. in davinci i set my input transform to canon 7d because eos m isn't in there. i set my output transform to rec709. is this completely wrong? am I actually using aces to grade if i do this? seems like it looks better than just stock davinci color managed space.
