Those errors come from trying to compile the ML module (you need lots of stuff setup correctly for that, such as the ARM toolchain, python, and various utilities like rst2html). If you don't need the module, and you just want the decrypt utility, try:

make io_decrypt

That made it. It works in the prepacked Oracle thingy on my Windows but I can't get it to work on my Ubuntu 16.04 (64). What is it that my Ubuntu system is missing? Do I need arm-none-eabi-gcc-4.8.3 even on my Ubuntu machine to run io_decrypt?

bash: ./io_decrypt: The file or folder doesn't exist

Edit: Maybe because of 64 bit. I will check it.

Edit2: It was because of 64 bit. Fixed. Thank you guys.

Is there an easier way converting 20 raw files? For example:

./io_decrypt {_MG_8457.CR2,_MG_8458.CR2} home/krypterat/a/{_MG_8457.CR2,_MG_8458.CR2}

or
./io_decrypt *.CR2 home/krypterat/a/*CR2

Tried make clean.

During the days I have tried different tutorials on Ubuntu, Windows Msys2, Cygwin. One nice thing is that I fail with different things every time and not always the same thing.

Anyway, today I tried http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=7579.0 and failed at nr 27. At 27 I got the same error message as I posted above.

I will try http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=7579.msg134989#msg134989 later today or tomorrow.

I tried to compile this module, io_crypt, but I get errors whatever I do. I already has the io_crypt.mo because I found it online. What I need is the io_decrypt for decrypting the RSA-files.

I followed the tutorial from mk11174 http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=6425.0 and did everything as he did, but when I wrote Make I got this instead:

magiclantern@magiclantern-VirtualBox:~/magic-lantern/modules/io_crypt$ make
Updated HGVERSION
[ README   ]   module_strings.h
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "../readme2modulestrings.py", line 113, in <module>
    txt = run('cat README.rst | grep -v -E "^:([^:])+:.+$" | ' + rst2htmlCommand + ' | python ../html2text.py -b 700 | sed "s/\r$//"')
TypeError: cannot concatenate 'str' and 'NoneType' objects
make: *** [module_strings.h] Error 1

Please explain to me as if you would explain to your grand mother or to a child.

Seems very nice!

I read this article about formating http://digital-photography-school.com/the-best-way-to-delete-photos-from-your-memory-card/ and thought it was like:

"I'd also like to add that I have personally seen a difference in both buffering time of the card, and also a decrease in the amount of corrupted images/cards that I've come across since I've been formatting cards rather than deleting in some other way. "

And then I read the comments:

"Formatting a card is unnecessary, I know that some photographers feel better to do it so I don't tell them to stop but do a benchmark of a card you used a lot and never formatted and you'll see that the performance is the same as day one.
Formatting is a simple process, it erases your partition and creates a new one but erasing a FAT32 partition created by your DSLR to replace it with the exact same one is not essential."

So why low level format?

Yes
#85
Do you use a card reader or direct from camera via USB?
#86
Just that card or other cards? Do you low level format the card in the camera? Does it happens if you only shoot in raw? Do you see it on the camera display or in the computer or both? How do you transfer the raw file from the camera to the computer?

Only get battery drain when I have removed the card. Maybe to fast or something.

Have you noticed any difference about the pictures or ml video?

Tack (Thanks) Danne, DeafEyeJedi and JADURCA.

http://regex.info/exif.cgi is a good tool. 0.4 sec, f/2.8, 200 mm and ISO 3200. I think I used ISO 100 as a recovery ISO, but I am not sure.

Would never had been able to take this picture without Dual ISO

http://kameratrollet.se/2015/10/02/manuppgang-over-angelholm/

I also tried two different exposure and to add the moon in the other one, but the Dual ISO image was the best.

Sounds great if the latest version works in crop mode and 24 fps/s.

I should have written: First, time to uninstall.

Everythings works as it did before. I have a new one, Load H264.ini in video mode, but it is emty.
#96
Will try it soon. First time to uninstall magic lantern, format all the cards, update the firmware and after that reinstall magic lantern.
#97
My ML on my 6D will not load correctly if it goes into sleep mode and I after that press the shutter. For example the AF-shortcut of the SET-button. I have changed the sleeping mode to 8 minutes instead of 1 minute now.

The bug in the 7D is that it will trigger no matter what. Last year when I tried it out it worked, but today when I try again, it trigger all the time. Trigger value 6000, it trigger. Trigger value 2000, it trigger.
