I just read this http://www.phreekz.de/wordpress/2014/04/magiclantern-raw2cdng-1-5-0/ and found out its a common issue for many and the solution is in progress... thanks.

Hi

(My apologizes if this question is already asked?)  I'm using raw2cdng ver 1.7.4 and it always drops 1 frame in every .mlv file conversion. so there is always 1 dng file missed! why is that?
#58
QuoteWe recommend using .MLV instead of .raw and extracting/converting DNG from .mlv files with either raw2cdng (PC) or MLVFS (Mac) as they embed deeper metadata.

@Andy600

How about mlrawviewer?? .mlv files converted with mlvrawwiver embeds the camera model, F-number, focal lenght,...etc but i don't see any of them in DNGs converted with raw2cdng... please enlighten me?

@DeafEyeJedi

would you please share your experience with 3.5K ? (3584 x 1320) ...ever been able to shoot more than 2-3 seconds? in 23 or 24fps ?

you mean you recorded raw via HDMI ?! or is it an uncompressed 8bit output?!..from what i know Magic Lantern doesn't output raw via HDMI!

How many of the purchased KB cards worked? How many failed?!

Have you ever encountered any failure report on these KB 1066x cards?

Ps. In the previous posts you have mentioned you reached 103-106 during 3.5k! Is that with card spanning?

@Ali Oliya:

If budget limits you (or want to save $) try looking into getting one of KB's fast CF cards (1066x) since they work well for me.

They're cheap, fast and reliable!

(Includes a lifetime warranty!)

Thanks for your advice
The 95.8 MB/s record you reached with the KG 1066x rocked my socks too!! . I bought this SanDisk few weeks ago. Actually I heard lots of mixed up negative and positive thoughts about KB cards in and out of forum. some talking about the impressive speed, some mentioned it gets hot and unstable...some said it works well and some said it doesn't work at all! add lots of corruption reports to that. these completely opposite comments made me consider buying something more truthworthy and reliable like SanDisk or Lexar. (i saw this article http://www.cinema5d.com/guide-raw-on-a-5d-mark-iii-magic-lantern/) and saw zero failure reports on SanDisk cards.

I'm in "Iran" and here the fast CF cards like SanDisk are double the global price(no KB here); so i had to purchase it abroad. there is also lots of limitations in ship so if the product i receive doesn't work there will be a nightmare of sending it back and getting a new one. that's why choosing the most reliable card was the only way for me. I couldn't risk.
