Try this build
https://bitbucket.org/daniel_fort/magic-lantern/downloads/magiclantern-raw_video_10bit_12bit_crop_rec.2016Dec24.5D3113.zip

i did. still no luck. its 3520.

Im not concerned or obsessed with 3584 at all. there is not much difference between 3584 and 3520! im just wondering why people talk about 3584 while there is no such thing shown in my menu.

QuoteWhen you are in the option menu with 3520 just scroll the wheel

3520 is the last resolution. no 3584 option!!
#28
It only shows "3520 x 1320" on my 5d3. how do you get "3584 x 1320" option?

Why this 10bit/12bit build is not available for download in  nightly builds? (5d3 - 1.1.3)

Wonderful! neat cut! mind sharing some details on the color grading process?  good job.

Thank you very much @Simonwb

I actually slightly stabilized some harsh shots in AE and  purposely kept some handheld look on some..but i know its not perfect yet.
For the shallow depth of field i agree with you...I will keep it in mind in next works... Thank you for your kind advice :)

There is a huge difference between this C-LOG and the C-LOG in "mlrawviewer"! why is that?

cant see the pictures...

Hi bro! what's up?

Here is the screen shot of the Twixtor settings:

as you see i key framed some parameters in different parts. and the speed changes from 100 to 0 which fakes <2000fps!
As you mentioned the black background helped but Twixtor still had lots of problems in faking many frames coz of the random direction of the splashing water...it looks so weird with so many wrong frames if i apply Twixtor to the whole footage, i could only apply it to a very limited short part with the speed parameter going down to zero..

Thank you

Shot on Canon 5D3 with Magic Lantern Raw (1920 x 1280)
Lens and Gears: EF 24-105L f4, EF 50 f1.4, small dolly skater, 1* ED 336 , 2* 1000W Tungsten with 60 x 90 soft box, SanDisk 64Gb 160m/s
Mounted *.MLV files using MLVFS in windows. DNG files processed in After Effects using ACR and VisionLog then exported as DNxHD 10bit . Imported in Premiere for Edit and Color Graded with Osiris LUTs.
For Camera Tracking and match moving i used PFTrack and After Effects. Then imported AE comps into PP using Adobe Dynamic Link.

QuoteCould someday do a how to video on the matchmoving part .. really interested to learn!

would be happy to make one...however there are tons of helpful videos on YouTube for camera tracking and matchmoving with PFTrack or AE's built-in plugin (3d camera tracker)...also Digital Tutors's tutorials are very good and easy to learn step by step.

QuoteThe other things is about the blacks .. my 5DM3 + 24-105mm combo produces some really ugly blacks (grainy and pixelated) - mostly in the shadow area of the skin. Any suggestions on how to tackle this will be helpful.

upload some samples here so that we can help you figure it out. my guess is you are shooting underexposure..i always use ETTR and shoot as bright as i can with higher ISOs then pull the exposure down in post to remove the possible noises.

Very very well done! very beautiful shots...i enjoy the warm and cozy sense of it... neat fast cut! ... the colors are very pleasing to the eye and tempts the audiences to come over there and visit! :D

nice choice of music punches with the picture and edit...

Any detail about the workflow and colorgrading process?

good job

@DeafEyeJedi
Thank you so much and im very glad you liked it...  yes 24-105L is slow but an all-rounder and its been a while im using it for industrial/product photography/ videography and covers most of my needs.

the dolly skater was light and so the image stabilization of 24-105 helped a lot to prevent the tiny bits of shakes however to make the movements as smooth as possible i used warp stabilizer.

QuoteDid you use Crop-mode in any of the close up's?
I didn't use crop mode at all...most of the close up shots were in 105mm and gladly it was enough close to do the job.

QuoteDid you make any adjustments in ACR with VisionLog prior to exporting as DNxHD 10bit to be color graded later with just one LUT (M31) -- correct?
in ACR i set the sharpness between 15-25 and adjusted the WB and in some shots i pulled the exposure down to match the other shots. in some few shots i added clarity...in some shots i used Recovery slider to recover the highlights. in the shots where there is color indicators i changed the Saturation and Luminance sliders to pop the colors... in one or two shots i slightly played with brightness and contrast slider to match the contrast of the shot with others. almost in most of the shots i loaded the profile for 24015L to correct the distortions. so yes there were slightly different adjustments for each shot before the DNxHD export. In premiere to match the looks i had to do some basic color correction to some of the shots before applying M31 LUT.

in this particular shot in ACR i used manual lens correction and "Full horizontal and vertical perspective correction". the outer frame of the rack is a composited still photo. i used PFTrack to mathmove it:

I figured it out using match frame and setting in/out point.

Hi

I have an edited clip in Premiere for which I'd like to link the original audio (MLV's wave). Is there a way I can pull in the .wave audio and have it respect the in/out points that are in my edited file?

Thanks

its Adobe.Premiere.Pro.CC.8.0.0.169 2014 in windows 8 (i hate win8!) .

ps. i can import other cDNGs converted with MLRV and raw2cdng easily.
