Hi everyone,

I'm new here. I own a 6D and just updated the firmware to 1.1.6... I don't know if I was wrong or not.  ::)
I'd like to use ML in order to have a intervalometer function on my camera since the intervalometer I own only works with my T4i.

I've never installed ML before so... where should I start ? I'm a little lost when I see the discussion here and the different options.
Is this the right file? Can I install it the way I see ML being installed in this tutorial?

Thanks for your help!
The latest nightly ML builds for 6D are for firmware 1.1.3 so if u wanna use it u need to downgrade ur firmware. Just Follow the instructions here
https://builds.magiclantern.fm/#/

And on the side lots of great people are working hard to make ML available for the 1.1.6
If u wanna test it and help them out u can find more infos here

Great thank u A1ex!

Tried bridge and still didn't work they all override the values of ML and they don't do it well. Isn't there a way to use the xml generated by ML and just tweak the curves like in LRTimelaps?
#130
I'm trying my 1st flicker free time-lapse. So module is on XML created, imported in light room, and saw the changes, and it worked perfectly!
But it was too exposed specially when got to night
I wanted to gradually edit the exposure a bit so I installed LRTimelapse and no matter what I do it always overrides the flicker fixed with ML.
Tried to export to dng then edit it and same thing didn't work.
Any help/recommendation would be great.
Thanks in advance.

Auto ETTR bug:
When I zoom and try to use the ettr, iso and shutter speed get stuck to max values and they won't adjust until u go back to the wides angle of ur lens and turn off ettr, turn off the cam, then take a pic without the ettr on and then reactivate it.
#134
I thought it pushes ur graph to the right without long exposure. And the highlights ignore though that it blocks highlights from over exposing even at  long exposure, that's why I talked about the night light pollution earlier.
#135
Oh ok I got it all wrong :/ thanks again for the help. So basically ettr module is just an auto mode to set the exposure time and iso for ur shot,  did I get it right now?
#136
Ok so I did the test, and with higher highlights ignore value ETTR changed the Shutter speed from 1/40 to 10" and it did overexposed the paper as u said.
But I thought that this setting is so it doesn't over expose the highlights, to help with astro shots and light polution, no?
#137
Hello, I've been trying to use ETTR for the 1st time,  I have a 6d, but I think I'm using wrong, coz I don't see any difference, and the histogram isn't changing much (to the right as I see in some photos ), and the highlight ignore isn't making any difference as well, I tried at 30% and 0.1%.
Any help or tips would be great. Thanks

I got confused a bit with all the posts so I apologize in advance for my stupid question. But is the hot pixel fix due to cr2hdr 20bit update or is the dualISO module has been updated?

Oh that's weird, it's working fine with me. I'm using ML nightly build from March 02 with firmware 1.1.3. Try removing it completely and reinstalling it

Hello guys,
ML runs very well so far, but I have two questions. I really tried to google them but without any success.

1 How can I enter LiveView? The default LV button doesn't work for me since I have installed ML. Has ML set some other button for LV?32
2. Is there "Bulb Ramp" setting in ML for Canon 6D please? Couldn't find it even in modules.
1- when u enter the normal LV press info to change to display to ML

so what causes this "bug?" I'm still running the March 23 2014 build (i only use ETTR, DualISO, Intervalometer, motion detect, and overlay, so i haven't bothered to upgrade) and the ML menu screen stays on forever.
The menu disappears only when U're in LV

Tested Motion detection, it works fine with me.
But I agree with the temperature. It heats up very fast.
My bad u were right motion detection only seems to be working with by exposure.
And I realize also that when u do an auto wb, the color display aren't the same as the pics u take , u need to switch to video mode then switch back to have the correct color image display.
Anyone having that problem?

Motion detection only seems to work by exposure. When I choose "difference", the detection box in LV is black and ML never detects any motion.

Besides, how important is the temperature? I had my 6D on a tripod aiming at the bird feeder with motion detection on and after about an hour, ML showed 60°C temp on a red background. I shut the camera down - just to be on the safe side... Any idea what kind of temperature the 6D can tolerate for how long?

Alright, thank you!

Do you usually use ETTR with the dualISO?

Gd job on fixing the Hot pixels.

I have a stupid question though, I don't seem to be able to subscribe to this discussion, is there a way to do it ? or i just don't have the permissions?
