oh now it's writing at 90mbs and reading at 57 so that's good, why does it work like that?

What does that do?

Is it possible the CF card R/W benchmark is inaccurate on the 7D? I'm getting read speeds of 35mbs and write speeds of 50mbs on 1066x cards, but when I actually record in RAW it works flawlessly and says it is writing at over 70mbs.

I think it's a great camera, but less stable than the other cf card cameras that are being supported at this time.

Hey Jadurca, I have a 7D. I think the 7D is more buggy than most other cameras because of its dual processor, I don't think it is as mature. I have had mine overheat and crash quite a bit, but it is definitely useable. The CF card cameras are the winners for sure.

This is so awesome, really inspiring. So good. I wanna make stuff this rad some day.

So i deleted all my settings, and just loaded the modules I use - mlv_rec, mlv_play, mlv_sound - and it happened pretty quickly after having reset all of the settings.

I was curious if picture styles, aside from changing the look on the liveview, actually influence the recorded video in RAW mode or if that is only something that matters with h.264 recording.

It's so awesome how you're using a zoom lens in crop mode, what resolution did you shoot this at?

This is my second attempt at shooting in raw mode, appreciate any feedback. On 7D came to realize that exposing to the right is required if you don't want a ton of noise. Any feedback appreciated, just getting into shooting raw.

I have been shooting with the 7D in raw mode and also in crop mode at the same time, and it seems to crash very often. Have to remove the battery to get it to reset itself. The temperature readout got to 51 degrees, which seemed pretty hot to me.

The one thing I noticed was that if i go into crop mode, and then go into the ML menu and just exit back out, it seems not to crash and allowed me to shoot in crop mode. But if I don't do that it seems to consistently crash.
