Hi,

Is anyone getting ISO 35, 70, 140 on my 600d and 5d3?
I set the ml digital iso to -1,5 EV and HTP off.

When I turn HTP on I only get ISO 70 140, ... (no longer 35)

Which one results in less noise?

Well, it's sort of the opposite (but with the same effect): the Windows version is not under development at all => there's no one to work on it or maintain it, so it has fallen way behind, and so it is missing most of the features the current Mac/Linux versions have (like dual ISO processing).
shutter, aperture, and ISO

...

I'm planning to use linux on my windows. Where can I find the download link of the application used for dual iso and its installation guide for linux on win 7 on the forum?

M00 is not on the card anymore? Do you have reused the card (=writing to card) after M00 got lost?

I've noticed that M00 have never been recorded on the CF-card all the files (which are long) start with M01.
Does the absence of M00 mean that I'm lacking some frames from my filmed footage? In case, I've missunderstod the issue of lacking M00...

@ibrahim
rename the last one to M00.. because all VIDF-Chunks (aka frames) have timestamps, its not necessary to hold the files (and frames) in the right order. but no one can recover files, you dont know, if they existed ;)

Ok, I'll try that to see if the application exports all the frames.
#129
How do I recover the M00? or fix this issue so that all my recordings include the M00.

Is it correct to use MLRAWViewer to export to C-log and then use visionlog on Lightroom for best picture quality? Or should I export to something else in MLRAWVIewer if I want to use visionlog in Lightroom? If so which one.

EDIT: If you wanted to ask if there is a way to convert frames stored in M01, M02 and M03 without M00: Yes, that's possible.

Does this mean that the M00 only contains 8 frames?

Thanks man.

Does MLVFS convert the MLV to DNG or cDNG on windows?

Hi,

I'm having issues with the lack of M00 for one of my large MLV footage. I have M01, M02 and M03.
I've tried to merge them with its associated .MLV in the Cmd on windows.

I notice that on mlRAwviewer (prior to merging and prior to export) there should be 3596 frames.
However after merging and then exporting the merged mlv on raw2cdng I get 3588 frames. Any idea what's wrong and why I'm not getting 3596 frames instead?

Hi,

In order to optimized the export speed/performance of the MLRawViewer 1.4.3 what should be optimized on my computer the GPU or increase the RAMs?

I've filmed several scenes but get greenish cast, which I haven't been able to correct in post.
Does this cast result of the increased CBR from 1.0x to 1.4x or due to something else?
I filmed in RAW 960x540 on 600d.

Modules tab -> file_man.mo ON, will start
Restart cam
Debug tab -> File Manager -> DCIM -> 100CANON
Is there a file with extension M00?

After File manager I get > A:/ or B:/
Choosing A:/ does not lead me to any M00 however:
Choosing B:/ > DCIM > 100EOS5D > find several M00 files (52 B file size).

What do I do with this file?

#137
Sorry I don't understand Walter, could you please elaborate what you mean.  :)
#138
After my recording there were never any M00. How do I solve this?

I have .wav, M01 M02 MLV and .MRX

Hi,

I notice that raw2cdng 1.6.5 and even 1.7.4 is not exporting my entire mlv file to cDNGs only 1180 out of 2875 frames. My MLV file has .M01 and .M02 associated to it.

Post-processing Workflow / Re: Dual iso for MLV

Thanks another question.

When I do grading in Lr or ACR, do I remove noise (color/luminance) before OR after changing the wb/shadows/exposure/highlights/sharpening etc.

What about increasing the shadows and decrease the highlight, does that affect the noise?

I've been checking that since then. It seems that the app is still under development and not stable yet for windows.

The reason why I've turned myself towards dual iso is because much of the noise is removed apart from the increased dynamic range.
Is there another way to remove noise. I'm getting quite alot with my 5d3 in RAW despite the fact that I shoot at ISO 80, 160 or 320.
I use increments of 160. I've used denoise in Lr and even afterwards in Ae or Pr using denoiser II, but I still get noticeable noise especially in the darker areas.
Which parameter in the ML menu or other thing increase my noise?

Does this software convert dual iso DNG that have been converted from MLV to cDNG by raw2cdng for instance. I am looking for a solution for video not images in win 7.
#143
Nice. I'll try these on my 5d3 and 600d. It helps a lot for docs and interview work.

Try to resize input tool. Probably it is out of view.

Thanks bro
Look forwards to see better results from dual iso. :)

@ibrahim

But i'm not recommend you to use this feature. Because it's just a test. Quality is pretty poor.

That's the odd thing. THere is no Dual ISO under FPN in my application to select. I even tried to find it in build 1944 and it is the same. The Dua ISO button does not exist.

Ok, hope that more progress will be made to boost the processing  ;)

Now the MLV producer is working. I am using build 2164_intel. I had to put the .MLV fil and its metadata in the same directory as that of the build.

What am I supposed to select to convert dual iso mlv to processed cDNGs?
#147
Using linux on my windows and then return to windows?... :D Sounds confusing. :(
Is there another way to remove noise from my footages without using dual iso+ETTR? That is why I am trying to use dual iso+ETTR.

Virtualbox -> Lubuntu -> MLVFS -> Shared folder -> better?

Is this the workflow to handle dual iso in windows or in linux?
#149
Thanks.
I have installed pfm-178-win-exe and followed the first part of the video tutorial (installed the DNG codec and registered the dll).

When I mount the .MLV RAW footage the DNGs are exported into c drive > volume. However, I still see horizontal lines (dual ISO); it hasn't been processed. What's the missing step?

I've tried to open .MLV filmed with both 600d and 5d3 in both versions 2127 and 2164. In both builds the program crashes. Any idea why this is?
The footage is 5 seconds long and is a dual iso+ETTR footage.
