I would like to donate thru paypal to express my gratitude to ML project and team for everything they've done for us. How can I do that?

Camera-specific Development / Re: Canon 80D

I am on this forum everyday. Because I am very curious of what developments are happening here. And developments are happening!
"if your cam is not supported by ML you should act like there will be no ML for your cam ever" is simply not true!

ML has no "delivery date". Nobody is able to say how long it will take and if your cam is not supported by ML you should act like there will be no ML for your cam ever.
Top of page -> User Guide -> FAQ -> Troll Questions section
Same for features ...

I have seen this quote several times in this forum. How many of your 4866 posts are copy paste of these, Walter Schulz?

Regardless of specs I'm assuning image quality from 4k sensor will be significantly better. I remember not being able to tell the difference between 4k and 1080p footage shot on BMPC, because 1080p shot on 4k sensor is really good.

Simply stunning and yet so vivid. It was definitely electrifying to watch! By any chance could you share the FRSP's settings used within ML?

Thanks, D.E.J! I always use FRSP's default settings (i.e. Silent Mode: Full-Res, Slit-Scan Mode: Top -> Bottom, File Format: DNG. Intervalometer frequency usually is set to 1-2 seconds longer than shutter speed.

My Timelapse and Hyperlapse videos made using ML Intervalometer and FRSP on Canon 600D and 5D Mark III.

General Help Q&A / Re: Convert Raw to MLV possible
April 19, 2016, 11:21:55 PM
It feels like everyone enjoys technical process of making videos and not actual storytelling thru means of moving pictures . You geeks are funny folks! Why would anyone keep acquisition format! Wouldn't it be convenient to keep your work as video?  Even if you think you might re-grade your work differently in future, would you not keep them in dng or prores/dnxhd log?

It feels all you need is couple of lights.

Hmm, so is there any consensus on what is causing this issue and how we can avoid it? For me it is almost a deal breaker with currently almost every third take having corrupt frames.
Change to 1280x720 @50 fps from canon menu. You are getting corrupt frames because you're overwriting from 30fps to 50fps. When shooting raw you will still get 1080p even though your settings are at 720p as per canon menu.

Yes they were shot outside prefered range, after about an hour of continuous shooting.
Thanks for the hint I'll try that. Any noise correction tool you would recommend?

Cool, Alex! Thank you for taking time to look at bmpc 4k dngs. No worries and no pressure! Take your time. Its just comments of others made me think that I was missing something.

FYI: Black magic cameras have preferred temperatures to work. FPN appears only if camera is not warmed up enough or if it got too hot after long hours of being on.

Yes, Why? Watching your videos I was almost convinced that I should sell my Glidecam HD-2000 and get Beholder DS1.

Hi Alex,
Were you  able to look at FPN on blackmagic 4k files I submitted over a month ago on this post?
#19
You can never get continuous 30 fps with any card or setting.  I use 1.1.3 Raw 1.0 with fastest x1066 lexar card, max 40 seconds I get 30 fps.

599$?. Too expensive. I can get Blackmagic Video Assist for lower price. This records 1080p@60fps.

Love the transitions, especially the ones zooming in. Which effect do you use for that, Alex?

Anyone interested in a FPN correction tool for any other camera? (be it Canon, BlackMagic or whatever else, as long as dcraw opens its raw files)

Yes, please! Here's the link to the noisy .dng files from Blackmagic Production Camera 4K. Thank you!

General Chat / Re: 5D2 Raw or BMCC

Don't think twice, BMCC is far better option. Video quality is stunning. 5D Mark II was good, but we are not in 2008 anymore. Just compare the footage and you wont need anyone's opinion.

Stunning! Unbelievably Good!

Poster looks exciting! Looking forward to see your trailer.
