its not ported to main yet. It works but has static coded regs and some commands have to be sent twice.

I think its FW only. Regular 7D firmware doesn't seem to have everything though. When you turn on studio mode it doesn't do much.

you can record over the frozen 10x and its faster if you aren't previewing anything while recording. The grayscale/color works over the frozen YUV.

mlv to cdng showed the correct FPS and cam name. ml raw viewer cut it off at Canon EOS

My dngs are coming out Canon EOS instead of canon EOS 7D. Also 2 files got stuck converting... I tried to run a bunch of MLrawviewers at once, bad idea.
Changing the tag with exiftool gui causes a lockup after a certain number of files, gah. Its > ~420 files, exiftool hangs, then gui hangs.

I still get pink/dark/awful DNGs in premiere. It really sucks and destroys the point of raw. The AE-> to premiere looks much much better. Also I tried premiere CC and the AE-CS6 projects don't work there. So you need AECC for premiere CC.

Yes please, list the most stable builds and then list if something broke. I can't test everything myself, same goes for ML main. Also something may work great on one camera but have strange issues on another.

Leave a pull request.. also start making an installer. Need one that you can run as an autoexec.bin first. That's how I got the EOSM installer going, after that the a1ex or g3ggo can sign the created fir. start with "make installer" or make in the installer/700D folder after copying/fixing/checking 650D or EOSM

I think the LV only AF is what sucks... remember the first FW version? It was much worse. I don't get much better performance from any of the cams in LV so I guess the way to go is to turn AF off.
You can shoot HD sized silent pics, esp in crop mode. Won't be the full sensor but at least it will be raw.

That's kind of expected, you can't change the raw size in the middle of recording.

If they ported the mjpeg like on 1DC they could probably squeeze out whatever the max live view size is in 1x. Maybe they can also make another crop style mode thats closer to 2.5k or so but I don't think this is how canon rolls

Its certainly possible to try it as a module. A little trickier since it has to be portable and cache hacks are model specific.

what goes together is autoexec.bin + the sym file in the modules folder. Then you can load mlv_rec or mlv_snd up to the point where there are major changes and they become incompatible. If you use all of the files from the same zip you are pretty much good.
so for example you can load TL modules while running the ML nightly or vice versa if they are from around the same time. but if you have a bin from 6 months ago and try to add new modules you might run into errors/crashes/incompatibilities

The mlv_rec/mlv_sound/autoexec all come as a package. If you take one from another build it may be old or not compatible. With any card that can do at least 40MB/s you should be able to pull of 1280x720 with sound.
Its based on the data rate. Whatever you can fit into that ~40MB/s is good.

The manual cleaning is supposed to hold the sensor open while you clean it with a sensor wipe.
