Do you think, so far, that their in any way exists the potentiality, via rom dumpers to upgrade the codec on the 6d mk 2 to install alli codec for it's video shooting capability?

No.

Price tag for RF lenses is non adequate (you get body and 28-70 5.5k$) making whole system kinda strange. And for this price you have 50mm in 4k.

Sorry for spamming, but this is absolutely gorgeous news. Just canceled pre-order for BMPCC4K.

Great cinematography and colors. I see you're filming with 5DIV, why did you back to 6D?

Hello everyone, I'm about to buy a 6D and I would like to know what is the res at 24 fps and 30 fps, I can get without the camera stop record after few sec. Thanks guy

Yes, you can do it with reduced resolution. I think 16xx will let you shot continuous in 10 bit.
#33
Super colours, great content. How did you stabilize those shots?
#34
Gorgeous! Love camera work. What grading software did you use?
#35
I don't think so. If you don't load raw_twk and record 14bit only, playback has same issue with 14b files.

There's a very annoying bug in experimental build (was there since very first versions), at least for 6D: in LV when the play videos, it can play 2-3 then screen turns black. To get back GUI you've to press trash-bin button.

Would be great if it can be fixed.

Try deadpixel remap method explained on Youtube. It was for 5d2, but works for any camera.

There's an app for 6D for remote control. DSLR Controller. Never tried it tho.

Gorgeous, Alex. Dunno, how you doing it, but if you didn't say it's poor 6D I would never guess.
How do u stabilize this monster lens? I doubt any one hand stabs can hold 6D+Tamron?
#42
Oh, almost missed it. This is fantastic, man! Love the cinematography, editing, sound... and honestly,  making of could be a great deal for all

720p is not usable on 6D with most the wide and middle wide shots. in RAW it gets even worse.

I don't believe that. ML for the 7D2 may be more difficult to achieve because of the Dual Digic, but IMHO, it would be one of the best for ML.

There's no need to believe it or not :) It's a fact. The main reason why old 7D got ML port was quite big amount of camera owners and devs with free time. 7D was a successful Canon's camera and was one of the best crop camera at time of release. 7D2 unfortunately not at all.

Forget about 7DII ML. I'm sorry guys, but you bought wrong camera.

Only ML can save this brick :)
Panasonic answered with G80: 5-Axis in body stab, 4k, 422 internal recording. End of story.

I came to the realization that the general Internet Infrastructure isn't really up to par for 4K streaming, and barely 1080p even.  Most smart phones / cellular networks aren't going to be doing 4K.  My only interest in Full Frame 4K 14-bit Uncompressed RAW video is the advantage of possible image quality after down sampling to 1080p.   I don't see many real viable delivery methods to the mass public where even 1080p streaming over a smart phone with our current internet infrastructure is unrealistic unless on Wi-Fi.

You don't need to post video in 4k, just downscale if needed. But 4k in post gives you crop freedom, less stress in field when framing etc.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't the RED cameras at 4K a 1.73x CROP aka Super 35mm?  I checked out this tool, and it seems that the Canon 5D Mark IV 1.73x Crop is going to be the same as what a RED Camera is at 4K ... aka Super 35mm ...

http://www.red.com/tools/crop-factor

This is wrong statement. To get real crop you should select correct Reference Frame. Red Full Frame native 5k has 1x crop, 4k - 1.25x etc.

Unfortunately you're wrong.

1. 1DC has C-Log, grading wise (if you ever tried) it's no where close to Technicolor CineSyle. It's looks similar on paper only.
2. 1DC has 1.3x crop

Saying, "this is good, because they have Cine line", is wrong too. It could be true only if there were no rivals on the market. Sony, Panasonic has Cine lines too, but still managing to give much more features for their customers in their hybrid cameras. Canon didn't include even simple zebras and made our 24mm become 42mm when shooting 4k. Probably to force us buy new 16-35.
