I had the same blackouts as Mikv on 1.2.3 with 22 July build for 5D3 on the 3k crop mode.

And I managed to kind of replicate Sganzerla's problem, it happens or it worsens when you go out of the zoom.
Steps to replicate pink pixels/stripes: 22 July build, 5d3, use crop mode 3k or 45/48fps, select 1920x1080 resolution, keep camera cap on, so you get a black screen. Zoom x5, x10, zoom again, you are gonna get pink stripes and other glitches, even on preview.

Steps to replicate blackout/sudden shutdown: 22 July build, 5d3, use crop mode 3k, select 3072x1308 24 fps 2.35:1, zoom 5x, 10x, when you zoom again to reset, shuts down camera.

Looks really nice, djvalic!
Looks so nice that I am inclined to ask you about your postprocessing. How did you achieved this colors/saturation, if I may ask?
Was all in davinci resolve? Did you process the files outside resolve? If there was some kind of software like filmconvert or lut that you used, I'd love to know if you can share the names, thanks!

I'm very curious about how the 5d4 canon log (properly processed and captured) would fare against 5d3 raw in terms of dynamic range and resolution.
I tried searching for this, but most "youtubers" just bash canon nonstop, they just keep repeating the same things over and over.

The official video and others just scratch the surface, we don't have a real measurement yet, just the 12 stops that Canon officially claims.
This guy made a video related to what I wanted to know, but he was underexposing it. As far as I know and as Shane Hurlbut says, c-log should be overexposed a little bit, just like most logs. Not sure how it holds the highlights too, wanted to know that as well.

The hard part of looking about it, is that eoshd made a cinestyle like profile and called it c-log. Whenever you look into this, you'll run into this picture profile of his that has nothing to do with the canon log upgrade.

This other chinese dude made a real world test too, I can't understand chinese but it didn't look so good too.

Any of you tested it or have any opinions?

@Markus
I have the EXACT same problem, I don't like the way ACR looks and it takes ages to process. It's not like it's impossible to do something awesome with ACR but it is not friendly to use. I'm dying to have some feedback on how the profile is working for 5d raw on filmconvert.
I only have a 6D as of now, so I can't try it out the way it's supposed to be... And to be honest I don't understand how they want us to get the file into premiere/ae without any processing. Maybe I need to inform myself a lot better. resolve version would make a lot more sense to me.
