Actually, it may be not true. Due to several experiments Sony overheat even faster than R5 in 4K60 mode.

I always made sure to shoot on f2.8 and shutter 1/50th (because I was shooting 25fps),

Great combo.
Asking about lens I meant: was it 2.8 version or f4 version with Image Stabilization which is much smaller and lighter lens for travelling though it's darker..
I'm thinking to buy a small all around zoom lens for traveling but 2.8 version seems to heavy for me. I'm really considering 24-70 f4 IS or maybe smth RF in future.

Used the canon 24-70mm zoom lens with variable nd filter.

Was is f4 with IS option or a regular 2.8 one?

If you shoot RAW - camera profiles doesn't affect the footage.

The real reason the 5d2 is better than the 5d3 is because the ZOOM button is on the right side.

It's not an issue at all - check the latest Danne's ML build, it has an amazing fast zoom option in LiveView.

This camera is looking really promising (of course if Canon won't decide to cut rumored functionality).
I won't be a first runner buyer but will definitely save $ to switch from my 5d3 (eye following DPAF and video modes are so lacking in my 5d3 cam..).

I have tried this version : crop_rec_4k_mlv_snd_isogain_1x3_presets_2020Feb01.5D3113

The mlv files can't be open in any software (Photoshop, Ae, MLVFS, MLV to CDNG on the fly). Only MLVproducer

Did you try MLVApp?

Is there any SD vs CF size proportion recommended? For example, if I have 128Gb Lexar CF what size SD card should I buy? I assume there is no any reason to buy 128 SD card?

Those presets are actually easy to update to your needs with a simple text editor on your computer. I've shared them like an example to everyone who needs smth special for themselves. I'm sure there is no universal set of presets suited for everyone. So you can edit any of them to your needs. And delete others which you don't need. Actually it's not hard at all.

Sorry, didn't understand at first what you are asking for. As I mentioned before, I'll try to update them as soon as I have time to test everything in a proper way.

Yes, I can set it manually, I have this option in my menu. CINESCO2.BMP in Cropmarks in Overlay section.
But after  I run preset with Crosmarks, Crosmarks is OFF in Overlay menu.

Interesting... It works fine in my cam.
Anyway, I'll try to update my presets to current build ASAP.

I have tried Danne's builds on 15th and 17th of Oct 2019 for 5D3 1.1.3. It works fine except Cropmarks. This code does not work.

Can you set it manually? Do you have this option in your menu? CINESCO2.BMP in Cropmarks in Overlay section.
If yes, it should behave the same with lua. But to help, I need more information.

I have tried Danne's build on 16 of Jan 2020. If I try Preset 3x 1920 24/25/30fps 2.35:1, there is an error "You forgot to enable crop_rec.mo".
Any idea?

I didn't test my presets with latest Danne's builds. Actually, I'm a little busy right now so I cannot tell when I can update my presets. But I'll definitely do it sooner or later.
As latest builds have modules auto loaded I can remove this part of code from my presets to simplify it.

I didn't test these presets with latest Danne's build so I cannot tell what's going on right now. It was fine tuned to the build mentioned in the first topic (ver 2019Oct15).
As soon as I have time I'll revisit my presets to work smooth with the current build.

Then you have probably a newer version... as I said: LR5 Denoise=25 looks the same like LR6+ Denoise=0.
