Maybe you're right.
It worked smoothly on my desktop PC and laptop ASUS k56cb.
Actually it still works, but lacks the compatibility with a new MLV algorithms.

The lack of real time preview still is a big problem

It's not fair, but there are two different cases:
1. If you need to see the best quality of your color correction - slow preview and the best algorithm.
2. But if you want to sort out 100500 of video clips and pick the good one, then you need 100% realtime preview even if it is with the worst algorithm and with lower resolution (as in Premier Pro etc. - 1/1 full resolution, 1/2 half resolution, 1/4 resolution).

The weakest part of MLV in Canon cameras - no possibility to preview footage in realtime. Few years ago MlRawViewer did this pretty good but now it is abandoned... ((

I want to work with my videos in Photoshop therefore the CinemaDNGs...
Do you know any other way of getting the videos from MLV to photoshop as untouched as possible?

If you're good with PS, then for video I recommend you to use After Effects as it uses Adobe Camera Raw to interpret DNG files.
I wouldn't use PS for video in any case.

Thanks! MLVProducer has smoother preview than MLV App. Does it use any GPU acceleration?

I'm using an Eyefi mobi

Is there a better way to send/transfer photos from 5d3 to computer monitor in real time? 
I want the last photo to appear on the monitor screen till I take the new picture.
Does 5d3 works with Eyefi mobi in the way I've described? Maybe it can be done with usb cable or any other technology?

Hi,
Is FRSP should give the same color and exposure results as in a regular Photo mode with cr2?
I tried the same setting and opened pics in ACR (sorry for poor quality).

With 0,3", f16, iso 320 - FRSP captures picture twice longer (about 600 ms) = 0,6".

My camera is 5d3 with expo override enabled. Should I change some settings to match closer?

So after further testing I found out that the 50/60 fps 3x3 is what is giving me problems with the Crane controls. When I switch back to 25 fps everything seems to be working fine.

Does it actually ML issue? Can you try regular Canon 720p 50/60 fps with Crane 2 without ML?

I keep hearing that you need to do more work in post with a 5D3-ML compared to other top-tier cameras, can you explain how the workflow is not as easy?

Another 2 cents which are not mentioned here:
You don't have an easy and real time preview of already captured material in your camera.
You have to load a file manager module and preview RAW video files with skipped frames or frame by frame, but not in real time.
Which is not really suitable for professional workflow. But if you're an enthusiastic independent video maker - you can live with this )).

Liveview is not exclusive to movie mode.

Oh, thanks! Now I remember that I did my last FRSP shoot with 5d2 and workflow was a little bit different. On my "new" 5d3 to go to live view in photo mode I have to press "Start/Stop" button  It was not obvious for me. Thanks for help

@Dmytro_ua: you should be in photo mode.

Wait a minute, now I'm even more confused..
In the Silent Picture description is said that "This feature only works in LiveView". When I'm in photo mode the mirror is down and for take a picture it should go up, so it couldn't be a silent picture anymore.
I'm sure I'm missing something stupidly simple

Hi! I didn't use silent picture FullRess for a year or so and forgot how to make exposure longer than 1/33. With expo override ON - I still can get only 1/25. My ExpSim seems to be locked to Movie mode. I don't remember if it always was locked..

But I'm sure I've made time lapses with 5-10 seconds exposure FRSP without any problems and now I'm stucked in settings. Please give me a hint (5d3).

The author says that: "follow focus works very well with ML;)"

As you can see in description, he has the same Zhiyun Crane 2. Camera: Canon 5D mark III

Nothing works with ML and Crane 2 in liveview mode   Not even liveview itself

Thanks for information. I couldn't find any confirmation of this online. I was going to buy Zhiyun Crane 2 to use ML with it's follow focus feature, and now I have think over again.. This feature is really important for me

At first I also started to use AE as I'm really good in grading photos with ACR. As you can grade only one frame I did it with Adobe Bridge (it was easier to browse through sequence looking for better frame). Then I applied this grading to all files and opened it with AE. Basic editing and export to PP. Slow, painful, awful workflow. The ONLY advantage - my beloved ACR.
Nevertheless, I'm really happy that I've spent time to learn how to grade in Resolve. The workflow and speed is perfect!
