1. MLVMystic MLV/RAW to DNG
2. Davinci Resolve Lite. Open DNG Sequences, manually link audio in media bin using keyboard shortcut (cmd-optn-L or cmd-ctrl-L - forget), set clips to use BMDFilm, highlight recovery, sharpness of 25, create timeline, adjust white balance as needed, export individual clips as ProRes 4444
3. Edit in Premiere and send to client. Most of my work is quick turn-around and low budget so I don't export proxies in step 2 to colour in Resolve (as a step 4)

this is fast? i like to do grading in lightroom

hi guys

Let's get to it

1 using MLVMystic to convert all footage MLV to DNG

2 using lightroom to color grade and export to tiff (this takes lots of time) works with multiple footage

3 using quicktime to open each footage one by one

For the third one, anyone knows how to convert multiple footage tif to mov ? I can take the first and the second but third is taking lots of time.


ML is worth to use it in my opinion

can you please give us the beep module of mlv_rec binary,

it is ok to use the raw_rec beep but it disappear in mlv_rec, i love this module.

for RAW version 1, yes it is working with BEEP

for RAW version 2, no it doesn't work with the BEEP, I just tried the latest one, I am positive, can you please send MLV binary please, should be a quick easy, I would fix it if i could

when i press test ok it works

but when i press record it doesn't make the beep sound

update

i am using latest ml

- sound is working
- 1920x1080 is working raw version 2
- using lexar 32gb 1000x

if i use komputerbay 1060x 128gb, it will not work for this mode, i returned it already

will buy lexar from now on, the VDO is superb quality

i didn't realize, i need to install driver for mac os

i am changing vesa mount on imac 27 now, will try later in the week

so pro res 422 only right for fcpx, got it

i still can not figure how to record audio, any luck on that?

yes i use final cut pro x to edit, i want to speed up the process, it is taking too long

actually just adjust and convert to pro res is enough workflow, too long

i have come up with the new way

ML RAW 2, i think it is better, because it can work with colorchecker profile that i have it, raw 1 doesn't have this

1 using mystic GUI to convert to DNG
2 ps cs3 on imac adjust the color sync it and then export to tif, this is long not sure why, i have the fastest 32gb, i7 mac still slow
3 quicktime open in sequence and then export to 422 hq, then i can play it without the stutter

image is like 4k

i can only record with fastest card 128gb komputerbay 1050x still only 1920x818, if i try 1920x1080 it will drop after 10 seconds

i think if i can expoert from ps to mov, it would be so great step 3 is a pain, i understand that colour  adjustment is necessary

1 raw2dng mac
2 ps adjust color and covert to tif
3 quicktime convert to mov 4444

is this the best?

i wish you can have modules like sound on the *.raw format

mlv is difficult to process

I am using raw2dng to process, it is very easy to use, i am using komputerbay 1066x, it is fast enough

i tried to use mlv, it has error saying state 4 something
