I'm about to buy a 50D and a Komputerbay 128GB for shooting RAW videos.
Any problems using 128GB CF cards?

And I think about getting the 1050x CF card version. matthiasdeo posted (one month ago in this thread), he can record continuous 1920*800 by using the 1050x !

But how is that possible? Document says, 50Ds maximal write speed is 70MB/s. Also the document says max resolution for continous rec is 1584x1058.
I'm talkin about this ML document:

RAW video in those resolutions need something around 4GB space per minute, is that right?

JUST BOUGHT A EOS 50D ! 

So can now somebody tell me what CF card should I get for raw video?
Can the 50D use the fast speed of 1050x cards? And I read about problems installing it on 128GB cards, others say they use 128GB...so what is the answer?

Played around - first tests.
(RAW video, no MLV)

-768x400 continous
-864x450 recorded 83 frames (second run did 245 frames )
-960x500 recorded 75 frames
...

Card I used was Lexar (Premium Series) 32GB 200x (Class 10).
Maybe you can get better resolution with faster card...

Notice: When I turn on camera and record directly, sometimes 768x400 mode crashes after some frames. I think the problem is that the SD card is not warm enough....

So overall I can say it's nice play around, but nothing I can work with right now...maybe with some faster SD cards 

But still...NICE JOB! Thanks to the developers

-> UPDATE: RAW VIDEO (MLV) works on the 1100D ! You just got to take "Test mode" OFF, it even plays back the mlv files! Can record 960x500 continuous with fps override changed to 20fps...
again: maybe my card is too slow, I think you should get 960x540 24fps continous recording, because the 1100D has the same write speed as the 60D/600D/550D/500D...right?

Looks like RAW VIDEO (MLV) doesn't work for me. But RAW VIDEO worked, got a 54MB .RAW file! I will try to open it with the program...

OK. I will test it now. Where shoud I find the raw video files (if it works) ?

Tested RAW VIDEO and RAW VIDEO (MLV), both same errors. But it looks like it does record, because when I press play button, it plays back the raw file!

WOW!   I will try it, my card is a Lexar Premium 32GB 200x CLASS 10.
Sounds like it's working soon...

PS: Have you noticed that aqua/cyan point on your .dng's ? Starting on this file:
M26-220600004.dng

Somebody got RAW Video function running on the 1100D yet?...

I'm searching for a very low budget DSLR that can record RAW videos, for music video production (released only on youtube). I looked around and compared some videos on vimeo. I think the 50D is the right one for me, it shoots videos in 1584x894 continous, and is really cheap.
But now I have a question. I actually shoot videos with different Canon DSLRs (without magic lantern!), and I know it stops after you recorded 4GB file. That was no problem for me, because 4GB is enough to record 3-4minutes (=length of a music video). But when I shoot in RAW, I read that it needs 4GB for 1minute!
So that's a problem. Is there any hack so it can split RAW video files, so I can record continous 3-4minutes?

Have already searched the forum, but did not really found a answer.

OK...it sounded like nanomad got it recording continously in raw.

1100D will be recording raw video. 640p @ 30 fps, but it's raw video nonetheless, right? 

That was what he wrote like 1month ago...so I was just wonderin about the release.

So you don't think the 1100D will record raw video continously?
And what exactly is silent pictures, does this mean raw video without audio?

So there is no chance for me to get it work on my camera? Maybe this feature gets developed and comes out in near future, or is the hardware too slow for it?

I use my 1100D mostly for filming, with the VisionTech profile by VisionColor, and I also use OSIRIS by VisionColor for color grading. So what you think, its better to work without Magic Lantern, or still use it?

I installed different Magic Lantern firmwares on my 1100D, and also tried different raw_rec.mo modules, but I always get errors.
The firmware itself works, but not the raw_rec.mo module.
Is there any raw_rec.mo file out there thats working on the 1100D?
I'm just wondering, because the camera is on the list of working cameras:

And I also seen many videos on youtube etc. out there that says "1100D raw video test" and so on.

Maybe someone can help me. Thanks!
