best option is to convert to cdng and import to premiere. everything sync automatically. no more manaul audio sync which kills a lot of time.

is there any chance of getting rid of red/green dots sooner or later? sold my 550D.very disappointed. i think magic lantern is best for 550D. more options like audio control n it gets clean raw.

hello 550d users, i m gonna sell my 550D and buy 650D since 650d can record 720P. i have been doing a lot of test on shooting mlv raw with my 550D for a very long time. i would like all of you to try 22 Feb 14 if anyone of u has pink/corrupted frames in mlv raw. i have been using it n i dont get a single pink/corrupted frame with it.

Used 50D would be a better choice if you can do without the 650D's display option.

i need for mlv raw and not raw.50d is good for raw but there is no point of shooting mlv raw with 50d since it cant record audio.

How are you getting this through resolve? I've used mlvmystic to create the dogs... but once in resolve the audio doesn't sync properly (have to manually do it... which for hundreds of clips would take forever)... but mostly, resolve simply does not want to export dngs that are created by mlvmystic

the best option is to use raw2cdng build by chime if u use premiere pro. u can import cdng into premiere pro which all audio are in sync automatically. i make short films and its not possible to sync thousands of clips with audio manually

no. you dont have to rename it. open your project. click go to media page and click "davinci resolve" on top right. click preference. click "+" and add your folder where your cdng is located. there are so many basic tutorials on youtube

i use mlv_rec.

there are so many ways to do that. import cdng in premiere pro.cut n export xml. import xml in resolve. do your grading and export xml for premiere pro and now you can add titles, effects etc

i have reported some good news on pink frame fix on 550D. let me also report that if i use magic zoom while recording i stil get pink frames

I am wondering if it is just coincidence that you are not getting pink frames? I don't remember any pink frame fix added for 550D? Or did I miss a commit? Just curious because I have a 550D as well, just have not used it much since I got the 700D?

please try 2day's nighly. i am eager to hear from others. i recorded 4500 frames now and i found no pink issue

did another test. recorded 4 more clips. this time recorded 3000 plus frames and not a single pink frame in all the clips. amazing

wow!! no more pink frames for 550D with today's nightly. i recorded 4 clips. 2 of them 900 frames@1152X460 and other two clips 2000 plus frames @1152X432 and i dont get any pink frames in all my clips. this is wonderful

i think pink frames for 550d has been solved. i m not very sure. need to do more test. i record 4 clips and there r no pink frames in all the clips

i just came to know why i get lot of pink  frames sometimes. it happens if i press magic zoom while recording

lower the resolution and u should be able to shoot continous... u may not like low resolution for your project but u need to record for few mins to test. its difficult to say no more pink frames by recording 5/6 secs.

there is no point of doing test by recording 100- 200 frames. i dont have any pink frames recording only 200 frames on my 550D. problems starts when i record 1000 plus frames. i test by recording 1000 - 3000 frames

OK you have nailed the problem (the fix doent help it by the way but I have renamed the Dirctories)
some new thing:
in Premiere my futage the was 25fps was showing like it is 24fps
so I have checked the DMG metha data and in the FrameRate Field
it was 24fps which is wrong and should be 25fps

Another question that I have is:
Does in Resolve 10, the dng-sequence and audio file will be recognised automatically and in synch , As Well ?

no it wont. only c2dng syncs that too only in premiere pro. c2dng is  the best and i always use in all my projects since u can cut directly in premiere pro.its even better now by syncing audio which makes my workflow much easier and fast

(the Op system is Win 7 64bit)

copy and paste the mlv file to another drive and try drag and drop from that drive... you dont have to copy everything. copy only the mlv file

I use on my 7d currently still Tragiclantern because MagicLantern is not stable.
And I have version 1:49 of RAW2CDNG.
And believe me, I've got all the settings through 10,12, 16bit - with and without Tiff Model.
Only Premiere shows this pink highlights!!!

Oh... unfortunate.  Did you check all my Canon/ML settings?  I think these three things had something to do with it.

Auto power off - off (was on)
Auto preview - off (was set at 2 seconds)
sRaw 2592x1728 (changed to mRaw 3888x2592 and RAW 5184x3456)

Hello people,

I have no problem with RAW2CDNG, as it is a really great app.
But I have still the problem with the pink highlights in Premiere CC 7.2.1 :-(
And strangely, only in Premiere! In After Effects, and in the ACR Pink higlights are not seen.
What must adjust in Premiere?
It does not matter what I set in RAW2CDNG, only In Premiere I have the Pink Horror. :-(

its not premiere problem. magic lantern problem. alex have been working hard to fix  it. he succesfully fix for 5d mark iii. im sory i got u now. make sure you check the partymode to get rid of it.
