Trying to reproduce the live view disconnection, I let camera on... This time get this message:
CTRL SRV Stack Overflow free=84 Used=163008176
Camera off.
Camera on.
I can record continuous 1920x960 50p 3x3
Camera remains on.
Suddently get this message in top of screen (in red letters):
[103] COMPRES_TASK: TASK WARNING: Free=164 Used=3932
Camera off.
When I boot camera again, I get this message full screen:
ML ASSERT: 0 at mlv_lite.c:2006 (compress_task), task compress_task vv:1 mode:3

Compressed size higher than uncompressed - corrupted frame?
Please reboot, then decrease vertical resolution in crop_rec menu.

ML ASSERT: 0 at mlv_lite.c:2006 (compress_task), task compress_task vv:1 mode:3

I didn't change any resolution... In crop_rec menu it remains 1920x960.
I'm posting all my troubles... I have no idea if it is useful or not. If not, I will stop posting, just let me know  ;)

Were you using a HDMI monitor? I didn't test this configuration yet.

Yes, a Zacuto EVF... It can be the problem?

    ML ASSERT:0at mlv_lite.c:1935 (compress_task)

This one indicates frame corruption, and should also print this (unless obscured by other messages):
Code: [Select]

                printf("\nCompressed size higher than uncompressed - corrupted frame?\n");
                printf("Please reboot, then decrease vertical resolution in crop_rec menu.\n\n");

Now with new April4th build, yesterday problems are gone. Testing 1920 50/60 3x3. Camera boots every time I turn on as expected... WAIT A MOMENT !!!

While I was writting this post with camera on, I've heard the camera disconnect live view and connected again. On screen find for a moment a error message. I didn't have time to read it, just "created a LOG file" or something similar.

This is the LOG:

QuoteHi,
I don't know if it will be useful or not...

Testing latest build (April 3th crop_rec) on 5D3 113, for now only this mode because is which I find more useful for me: 1920x872 50p 3x3 (aspect ratio 2.20:1) 14bit lossless.

Yesterday I was able to record without problems in continuous with normal preview, in color.

Today, with the same settings as yesterday, it has been impossible to boot the camera. In the SD card there are text files called ASERT, one for each boot attempt. In them the following appears:
ML ASSERT:0at mlv_lite.c:1935 (compress_task), task compress_tasklv:1 mode:3

If I change SD card for another with 2017Feb11th 5D3113 (crop_rec proxy) all works again.

Hope it helps!!

I've erased all in SD card and copied clean April3th Crop_rec_4K build.

All works ok again like yesterday.

Raw Video Postprocessing / Re: MLVProducer
March 27, 2017, 06:16:32 PM
Hi AWPStar,

Still don't work for me H264 444 or 422 but anyway... Now I've find another problem.
When I import a group of MLVs (I tried with 10, 2, 20, 40...) and click on select task (Q) I can see all the files imported and I'm enable to copy and paste settings. But when I hit Render Queue MLVP crashes.
It says:
Name: MLVProducer.exe
Version: 1.0.0.2722
Time stamp: 58848898
Modul name: ntdll.dll
Modul Version: 6.1.7601.17514
Modul Time stamp: 4ce7ba58
Exception code: 00063c5b
S.O: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48
Id: 3082
Info1: 4f04
Info2: 4f046842f0075f3ba41d3310a6c1a0ec
Info3: a669
Info4: a669910d5e42f99ddce6731568360e6f

So I can't do any batch render, just one by one.

Any recomendation?

Thank you very much.

Pau.

@a1ex
Thanks for your answer!
QuoteIt's probably just the extra overhead.
Can I do something to avoid this and get 14bit+H264 continuous?... Changing to a small aspect ratio?

QuoteEverytime I turn on camera, I need to change prefered card to SD in Canon menu. A bit anoying...
Solved: set preferred card from ML menu to SD. As you said if I have a CF card in camera raw is saved to CF.
Thanks!!!

Tested: https://bitbucket.org/Dannephoto/magic-lantern/downloads/magiclantern-Nightly.2017Feb11.5D3113_proxy.zip
For me 14bit recording + H264 only about 30s. (CF Lexar 64Gb 1066x + SD-HC Transcend 16 Gb class10). Maybe due to a SD card not fast enought?
10 and 12 bit + H264 continuous.

@dmilligan
Ok, I understand that the problem is before any "data rate". So the sensor is not able to read so fast.  :-[

Sorry for start this...

Anyway, the actual 10-12-14 bit, crop mode, and now simultaneus H264 recording is amazing!!!!! Thank you for all of this!!!!

Hello,
I'm really excited for the continuos developement of Magic Lantern, and especially the last 10-12 bit and crop mode features. I'm really grateful for this.
For me (and sure for more people) 1080p is all I need (mostly web destination works), but allways hopping for a 50fps solution for slowmo. Now, thanks to all developers we have two options to get 50fps: squeezed one and the newer 3x3 binning. Both have his pros and cons.

I guess if getting 8bit recording, datarate can go down enought to get 1080p50 raw. I know you loose the benefits of 10-12-14 bit for post, but to have 50p without sqeezing and pixel binning will be a 3rd option...(?)

Maybe I'm totally wrong and datarate is not the only problem. In this case feel free to delete this post if you want.

Thank you very much.

QuoteI have a problem with MLVP 2722 Intel.
When I render a 10 bit mlv file in H264 422 or H264 444 I can see a *tmp file in the output directory (with the final size listed), but when it finish, the file dissapears and only remain on disk the audio file. In DNxHD it works ok, and in H264 420 is ok too (tmp file shows 0Kb untill render finish, and then it shows real size).

May be a bug? I don't know...

Thank you.

Hi AWPStar,

MLVP 2722 intel.

More testing same result.

H264 422 and DNxHD1080 work ok, but H264 444 or RGB don't work. Only audio file remains in disk.

Thanks RenatoPhoto!!!

But I don't see any tmp file remaining in disk. Now deleted all folder containing MLVP and copied again. Now works but still doing tests. I will post about it.

Thanks.

Hi, thanks for this quick 10-12 bit version!!!!

I'm using 2699 intel version with exposure fix applied in 10-12bit crop rec 2016dec24-5d113.

When I open 10bit mlv in MLVP I get a 127 black level and I can see the image in computer screen ok. Then I transform to cinemaDNG. When I open cDNG in ACR I get a very very dark image with magenta highlights!. I'm doing something wrong or is it a bug?

Thanks!!!

@anDyIII
Yes, same for me (5DmkIII, 1.1.3). Magenta highlight clipping in MLRawViewer (allways) and now in cDNG's from raw2cdng 1.7.5. Not in raw2cdng 1.6.5

Any logs?)
Probably this bag will be eliminated in new version.

Can you cut this new mlv with mlv_dump and sent to me. Or full file if you can.

@AWPStar

I've sended PM with link to mlv file.

Thanks.

Hi AWPStar,

Again message error: Out of memory.

And I can't open any mlv from a 5D mk3. Tried in MLVP 2164 INTEL and MLVP 2183 INTEL.

In MLVP 1944: Run-time error '6': Overflow

Can I do something more?

Thank you very much.

Today I tried with a "old" (just 1 month old) mlv and it works, but with actual mlv's don't. I'm using same nightly build...
I don't understand...
Any tip, please?

Thanks.

I deleted all in data\idx but same error...

It works ok last week but now... This is second time with same problem. I installed mlvfs before the error. May be is this the problem?

Thanks.
