70d doesn't have the technological capability to shoot in 4K sorry.

For your opening shot you may have to use a different lens or use a 4K camera (G4, as7, etc).

yes i powered the camera off. waited for sd card activity to stop/sensor clean and removed the battery. i've tried other battery swaps, but i can't seem to replicate. maybe a fluke?

that's good to know about the shutter half press, i'm using back button focus custom controls. it's just a visual thing, doesn't affect ML performance at all.

Notes
- install and uninstall was super easy
- if using the set button for custom controls, disable it if you intend on using set for ML functions (Auto ETTR, etc).
- after a battery change, several modules were un-loaded and the module menu disappeared. i had to restore the default config to get the module menu back so that i could re-load them.
- when in the ML menu, pressing the shutter button would bring up the canon q menu and then show live view. for me the q menu was in the picture style menu.

i am in love with Magic Lantern! i purchased a T5i 2 years ago and immediately installed ML and was blown away. unfortunately i needed to upgrade to the 70D and was so sad that ML wasn't available at the time. i didn't even know alpha was available in january because i wasn't following the forum. i will never use a camera again unless it has ML on it. A big, big, big thank you to the devs making this happen.

Share Your Videos / My First Time-Lapse

My First Time-Lapse shot with a Canon T5i with a EF-S 18-55mm lens (Hoya HMC UVC Filter).

This was just a short test to get myself familiar with Magic Lantern. Came out better than i expected.

I used a default install of Magic Lantern vNext for the 700d. I turn on Auto ETTR and Dual ISO. ETTR started with f5.6, 1/31 and 800/1600 (dual iso).

i just sent my t5i back after 2 weeks to get the 70d. it was a tough decision knowing that ml isn't available for the 70d, but i got a price that was too good to pass up on.

i have development experience. i'm fluent in .net, c++, objective c. i'm learning java (for android development) as well.

i've already downloaded the dev environment so i'm ready to get cracking on this 70d port as soon as we get some fw from canon.

quick question about un-install.

when i install ml, i don't get that screen to turn the mode knob to enable the bootflag. i use macboot and ml works.

so to un-install, when i go to update the firmeware, nothing related to ml appears. so my question is since i used macboot,  is an uninstall, just formatting the card?

Raw Video / Re: 700D / T5i RAW video
November 15, 2013, 04:16:47 PM
is my sd card too slow for raw? i'm using a 16gb sandisk ultra @ 30mb/s (class 10 sdhc) and everytime i try to record, recording starts and then stops (recording has stopped automagically). i've tried different resolutions and different frame rates.

***UPDATE***
i brought the res down to 720 and now i get the following error:

early stop (9). this is a bug, please report it.
