Nice, a silent dng capture!
Would be a great module.
Maybe if we can take 25 of then per seconde we Would have:
Raw videostream capture :o

Redaber, no more magic for you!

Offtopic:
Are you guys talking about this? Noticed it in h264 recording and on liveview: fixed noise. On monday Im going to the canon service site in the netherlands and on the phone they told me: It has to be re alligned ( :S :S) or something nothing to be concerned of.

Because the sensor is just too big. crop sensor of 1.6 is too tight sometimes but the fullframe is making the vignetting and dof extreme.
1.3 crop would be ideal for me but thats really just taste.

You can shoot with the original mov even with ml. But if you enable the raw module its disabled.

So..every time you wanna shoot mov you just turn off the raw module. Its simple like that.
#7
There are no issues till now.
#8
Discussion breaker. Case closed. I like colors. Do you? Wait, what?
#9
:O im baffled

@ A1ex

Tried without magiclantern on the sd: problem gone. Can't recreate the issue.

Sorry for the late response: Will update after the weekend when didi and I are together

1% or a1ex, could it be I semi bricked My camera and that i should register a default ini Again to repair it?

Situation: every time i record a video with h264 the buffer overruns: no matter what card.
It didnt happen before and If i scan through the forum I can conclude some functions can be registered and stays that way if you bypass certain checks.

If so: does anyone know the standard setting for 5d3 so i can load it?

If i bricked it, c'est la vie, i knew it was experimental.

Thats a no no, 1080p 30fps is already difficult and not continuous.

But with slitscan you could right? If you are framing a static subject maybe under 5 seconds every line with a different iso/shutter

Duplicate Questions / Re: Bitrate control is disable

You have to load a custom ini to your camera, but the parameters are still experimental. I tried it, bitrate changed but effect were minimal (others reported a visual improvement) and crashes if you set the bitrate too high or the if the image you are recording gets complex.

5dIII users are better of with RAW. Like its no competition. every frame is a 14-bit DNG.
Other way to get a very nice image is pregrading.

Shoot a cr2 on location. Load it in your Picturestyle Editor en begin to grade the image. Save the PS, and load it into your camera. Now you are shooting on scene with the grading you wanted on 8-bit MOVs. Saves a lot of disk space and time.

Wish I understood the codejoke from Alex...
#20
That would be from stretch.
#21
Since I still have 1.1.3 I can test that one first and then 1.2.3 but: MLV has so many configurations it would be insane to draw conclusions.

A chart with only RAW_rec with the different resolutions in 1x mode and 3x mode on 1.1.3 and 1.2.3 maybe?
#22
Only way is to try it yourself.
#23
Why not? MLV is not bad for busniss for Canon/Adobe?
#24
For this I would like to include the sorter scene in Revolver

I know a lot is done in editing. But I was wondering since digital dolly is already in MLV/RAW, if it can be moving with a constant speed. Where the joystick is only for changing the course of the dolly.
Kinda like snake on the nokia.

It's not a lifesaving request: in two weeks im gonna shoot with this effect and crop digital dolly in post. This would be a awesome feature especially with the 5d3 with a 45mm TS.

Thanks and if its not possible also thanks.

Did I just read you trusted on raw recording with a whole crew and cast?
Like As in, everyone made effort and freed time so you can shoot with experimental stutf?
Even in theorie raw recording is pushing the limits of the camera, no matter what card. And the "tech" people: no one to specially handle files?
