Ok thanks Walter. Apparently i had some faulty january build that literally just cropped the frame instead of boosting the resolution. Works now on 2.2K.

I have a question and i'm bit lazy roaming the forums through for possible answers. Apologies.
ML MLV build works nicely and produces beautiful image.
At the moment i'm shooting on Kingston 90mb/s card and get 1600x900 resolution continuous video. I'd like to go on higher resolution, but 1728x1156 seems to be the maximum i get. Over that ML announces that the resolutions are "not available on this video mode". What's this video mode and how can i change it? Thanks.

Did you install The right version?
I did look for the lion version, not mlion, and got that installed. Don't know if the mlv2dng is the right version tho..
All i get is the mlv2dng file in a folder. aobut 146kb at size.

This is for 10.8.3 Mountain Lion users.. I guess you can install the Lion version the same way...  gcc-mlion.tar.gz - Mountain Lion. gcc-lion.tar.gz - Lion version

Found a solution to get the mac versions to work (the absolutely non geeky/I dont know Unix way)... The problem is the "libstdc++.6.dylib". And WTF is that anyway.. My answer I DOOONT know.. Anyway.. I found the missing libraries to install.. Here is what you need to do:

Go to http://hpc.sourceforge.net and download this file http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/hpc/gcc-mlion.tar.gz?download.

Go to Terminal and cd to the download folder cd /Users/UserName/Downloads/ Then gunzip gcc-lion.tar.gz (if your browser didn't do so already) and then sudo tar -xvf gcc-mlion.tar -C /

I used 7zX because I dont know how to gunzip..

Restart your mac and BOOOOM!!! MLVConverter.app works for me...

Hope this helps some..

Still couldn't get this working on osx 10.7.
Is there any way to get a working version of MLVConverter.app for osx Lion?

I can create an AppleScript GUI if there is a demand for it.

a gui would be great since mlv2dng is not working on my 10.7 Lion Mac OS.

Seconded! osx gui would be great.

Hi errybody!
Could anyone pack the latest working build and modules? I've got raw rec working but would be nice to catch up and see if everything's up date. So much stuff going on here all the time and missing few days at the forum won't help :)

Thanks in advantage.
Cheers.

A couple of issue I have at the moment are manifying the screen to get focus, locks up the image on screen requiring a restart and a flashing bar where the histogram is when shooting. I only get the second problem (flashing) when using my Lexar 64gb 800x

You probably mean the 10x zoom freezing problem. Try checking the ML menu and disable 10x zoom.
Can't help on the flickering issue. There are more wiser men on forum.

Just shot 7secs of 720p raw on Transcend 400x card. Got to check the stores for a faster card, but the point is raw rec works :)
The liveview freezes at 10x zoom. Any fixes on that?

You only need that to set the bootflag on the camera once. Once its set your good, you can remove the .fir file with no consequence.  I just have the guide written with both the .fir and ML files on the card at the same time to make it easier.

Yeah noted. But everything's working like a charm so expect some test footage soon. And of course continuous raw would be nice. I have too much hard drive space anyway :)

Aw yis! first DNG's on After Effects. Looking good. Got about one second burst at 2530x1200 resolution on transcend 400x card. One frame shows a glitch but still a promising start.

I had just a minor issue after installing the 7dbooton.fir. The camera didn't start at all. I removed the battery but still everything remained black until i removed the card. The solution was to replace 7dbooton.fir with regular 7d000203.fir and update to that. The ML menu was still intact anyway. Not sure if it just required to remove the 7dbooton.fir from the card(?)

Run a virtual windows box. Wine is one i've heard about. I like virtualbox. That being said Im a windows guy.

Or, borrow a friends computer, library computer, school computer, etc.

Good luck!

Thank Pileot!I'm at my work computer now and giving it a try today.
