Hi guys - it's been a while for me.  I shoot lots of night shots / astro, and I can't find the Display Gain feature.  Is it unavailable on the 6D?  It's not in the ISO submenu.  Thanks!

Weird problem... I cannot change the default (Canon) menu.  Without ML, the default menu that shows on the display when pressing the Canon Menu button was the last menu item accessed.  However, with ML, I cannot find a way to change the default menu (the specific tab for Canon's menu).  The same Canon menu shows up on the display whenever I press the Canon Menu button.

Anyone know of a fix or a way to set or change the default menu?
Thanks in advance,
Carl...

forgot to mention - this is on a 6D

I have a Canon 6D with firmware 1.1.3, and I'm trying to load ML.  I have loaded the night build files onto a low-level, camera formatted 16MB SDHC card.  I also have the 6D-112.fir file on the card.  The nightly build files and the .fir file are all loaded onto the root of the card, along with the 2 canon folders (DCIM & MISC).

Camera switched to M.  I am able to perform the firmware update, and when I do I get a message on the screen for about 1/2 second that the firmware update is "Loading."  Then the screen goes black indefinitely - no green screen, no ability to autofocus.  All is well after I pull the battery and insert a new card, but no ML.

Any suggestions?

I have a 6D and downloaded the nightly.  But, there's no .fir so I cannot set the bootflag.  Not surprisingly, the 6D will not update the firmware to install ML.  How can I get around this?  Can I use another .fir file (from another model) to use as a dummy to set the boot flag?

Thanks,
Carl...

I would like to get a nightly build version on my 6D, but there is no .fir file on the download.  What .fir file should I use?

Bless you ML.  This is a 9-shot bracket processed with Photomatix Pro and cleaned up with Lightroom.
