General Chat / Re: ML's Goal?
September 14, 2013, 07:25:22 PM
I think the workflow isn't that bad actually, there is an extra step but that will hopefully be shortened with the Raw support coming to Premiere Pro in October (for those using PP).  I love being able to go into ACR and haven't found a better way to recover the shadows / highlights.  Just my humble opinion.

Example of what ML Raw has done for me:

Raw Video / Re: corrupt raw file on card full

Did you happen to be shooting in 3x Crop Mode with these shots?  I had problems with pink / corrupt frames after (while) shooting in Crop Mode on my 5d iii.

I abused the hell out of the shadow / highlight recovery sliders in this video I shot and didn't notice any flickering.  I think the flickering has to do with extreme / quick changes in exposure (Like someone walking right in front of the camera, quickly in and out of frame may make the sky flicker)

Thanks gilbox,
I actually rendered it as Quicktime > Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) in After Effects.  It retains quality pretty good :)

Share Your Videos / Seaport Realtors (5d iii RAW)
August 01, 2013, 05:56:06 PM

This is an introductory commercial for Seaport Realtors in Key West.  Seaport Realty is a locally owned and operated real estate business in Key West, Florida. This is a short, informative video about the wonderful island of Key West and the general Keys lifestyle.

Shot in RAW utilizing Magic Lantern, this video took us approximately a week to shoot.  We packed very light for this project and were thankful we did because of the extreme humidity.

Cheers!

Gear List:
5d iii, 70-200L is ii, 24L ii, Edelkrone Slider Plus, Manfrotto tripod and Sennheiser Lav Mics.

Our post workflow was very simple.  We color graded in ACR, rendered in After Effects then finalized in Premiere.

You're missing autoexec.bin

Thanks for the heads up.

Anxious to test this out, tried putting these files on my card but I know I am missing a step.  I guess we need to wait for Lourenco to compile for 5diii users?

Using Magic Lantern and a 5d Mark III, we produced this short intro video for a local fine art restorer near the Kansas City area. Our workflow consisted of RAWMagic > LR4 > Premiere Pro with most of the color grading done in Lightroom. We packed very light for this project and came up with great results.
