The camera was never bricked, just battery failure after FPS overriding. Peace of cake.

Happy Day!

Answered my own question:
safe dumper dumps your current firmware as a backup and does enable the bootdisk flag on camera...

Are the audio issues related to the commented out stubs in Stubs.c ?
What is is the safe dumper .fir doing?  Enabling the bootdisk flag on the camera?

I wonder, why this thread is so small. Is the SD-Card controller from 650d really two times faster than 600d? And 720p@24 is possible? That is what the 550/600d user dreaming for ...

Yeah...It does kind of seem like the 650D is getting looked over in the RAW aspects of ML compared to other cameras.  However, this development has been moving incredibly fast (including the dev of ML for 650D alone) so it probably needs a bit of time to grow some attention.

For cameras recording 40MB/s (6D, EOS-M)

   Max 16:9 resolution:

      12 bit:  1408 x 800
      10 bit: 1536 x 864

   Max 2.39:1 resolution:

      12 bit: 1600 x 672
      10 bit: 1792 x 752 (max resolution in full frame mode)

Add 650D to this pile (currently shooting @ roughly 40-41 MB/s)

Getting down and dirty with ML for the first time.
(C/C++ experience with uController and just a minimal touch of FW experience.  Also homebrew OS dev experience)
I see that #define CONFIG_LCD_SENSOR stub is not defined.  How does one go about figuring out these stub addresses?

nanomad has some secret list of tasks ;)

would that be the list of failing features in the features.h file?

Check the first post as it refers to what is causing crashes.  Known crashes should likely be fixed first but there is no official criteria.  Unless nanomad has some secret list of tasks ;)  With the Satriani builds, it has taken on more of a rolling alpha feel with no real releases.

Perfect, thanks!

You've got to keep the Iambic Pentameter (with an occasional feminine ending):

'Tis but thy name that is my enemy;
Thou art thyself, though not an Alpha true.
What's Alpha here? not zebras, nor peaking,
Nor raw footage, nor any other part
Belonging to a Stable magic lant'rn.  O, be some other name!
What's in a name? that which we call beta
By any other name would smell as sweet;

My degree in Theatre speaking...   ;)

Is the RAW module being developed along with the Alpha build or does the 650D alpha build just use the module already being developed in unified?
#36
What tasks (features) are required to be completed to move the dev into Beta?  Is there a place where this is documented?  I'm assuming this is in black box testing?

If the SD controller (read MX25L6436EM2I-10G - Macronix somewhere here on the forum) can run up to 104MHZ, wouldn't that mean that it could max out at 52MB/s?  That would enable resolutions of up to about 1920x640, no?  Or do I have my wires crossed?
