Raw Video Postprocessing / A GUI MLV Converter for MacOSX
September 02, 2013, 08:45:58 PM
Hi guys!
I released a GUI MLV Converter for MacOSX :)

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8769684/MLVConverter.app.zip

However, this version is very poor.
This converter has only function that convert plural .MLV sources at a time.
And this Converter does not have even a combination function for the present. :-[

Please use this Converter if you want to handle plural files easily.

Beautiful, such clean, artifact-free images... and seemingly effortless detail in bright sky while earthly foreground is properly exposed.

Certainly couldn't accomplish this in H.264.

Well done editing too, 8beeeaaat : kudos.

Thank you for an impression, Haliburton !

So, it's a clever thing about RAW Video.
The world is beautiful, actually  ;)

Just got 400 frames at 1792 x 762 and continuous recording at 720p which wasn't possible on my 60D.  8)

Above was continuous, at least I hope, card filled.

Thank you for giving a reply.
The max resolution is 1408x800 ?
I'm satisfied if I can record it at least for 10 min.

Are these RAW video informations about 6D correct ?
I would like to reference these information for buying my next DSLR...
Especially, Max res for 24p continuous rec is very important for me.
What is "600+ frames" ?
Is not continuous ??

Sorry about my poor English.

Are anyone using the raw2dng.app in Mac ??
I can't convert to ProRes no hot/dead pixels by raw2dng without using ACR.
Of course, I can convert noiseless ProRes with AFX via ACR.
However, it is the painful work!

Please teach me the workflow.
Thanks.

60D's Raw(UPDATE #9) + Raw2Dng.app 0.13 or RAWMagic 1.0 makes some Dead / Hot pixels...

A: the ProRes4444 file that made by Raw2Dng.app 0.13
B: Cinema DNG that made by RAWMagic 1.0 + DaVinci Resolve preview
C: Premiere CR6 + Ginger HDR preview
D: AfterEffects CS6 via ACR preview

No dead / hot pixels pattern is only D.

What lens(es) did you use for that film, 8beeeaaat?

I used

* Voigtlander Color-Ultron 50mm f1.8 (much scene. It's my favorite lens :) )
* SIGMA 17-70mm f2.8-4 DC OS HSM Macro (Tokyo Tower)
* SIGMA APO 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG MACRO (Tokyo Tower)

I using RAW module for 60D made by marekk.

UPDATE #9:
Hot/dead pixels removed automatically by ACR (you need fresh raw2dng)
ML with raw_rec compiled hourly by rocket's scripts:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/1kitzbmanifb6sf/qgkHzW3gn2

The ProRes files were made by raw2dng.app 0.12 have some Hot/dead pixels.

Thanks.

Agreed! Well done.

@ 8beeeaaat, did you use manual focus pulling, or ML rack focus feature?

Which lens(es) did you use?

Thanks!

I didn't use ML rack focus. All clips were recorded in manual focus. (my hand)
The focus peaking function is very helpful! :)
