If I set the Intervalometer to the lowest interval possible I do not get one MLV file. The camera is writing one MLV file per image.
Is that behavior intended?
My camera is the 650D

Probably not,  what resolution and framerate are you recording in?

Is there a way to control the aperture in LV?
a1ex says to enable Expo Override...
Quote- In photo mode, aperture will be most likely wide open, regardless of the setting, because of exposure simulation (enable Expo Override to fix it).
but this doesn't seem to work.

I am currently running the build from 1st of September 2014
Are there there some important changes between this and the most recent build?

No 720p is not limited to one minute its continuous.
Also you have basic audio metering.

Looks like marketing to me.
What is better a simple h264 encoder or an even more simple h265 encoder? :o

Can't proof that my camera doesn't freeze.

Can't reproduce it.

After taking two pictures in LV with Canon RC-1 I got this screen.

1st September build
Full Histogram in LV
Raw_rec, ettr, file_man, all mlv modules loaded.
dual_ISO.mo is not loaded.

So now we have SRM memory interface working with raw_rec module.
Which build are you using because there are some failed nightly builds.

Confirm these cards are just fine for 720p continuous. Their write speeds benchmarks in ML test about 40 MB/s (controller limit)
Manufacturer's write speed claim is 45 MB/s, which is true (confirmed on usb 3.0 card reader)
The new yellow cards are working perfectly too.

45 MBps rated cards definitely will NOT write fast enought to get continuous 720p@24fps raw out of the camera even though the write speed limit for the camera is like 37-41MBps.
I don't know what you are doing but I have 3 Sandisk 45MB/s rated Cards and with all of them it is flawlessly possible to record 720p24 until the card is full.

There's a pretty big difference between all 3 photos, the 2 encoded get incredibly smeary and soft.
:o
You talked about bitrate I answered about bitrate and now you reply about visual.

That's absolutely right

And the first one is encoded with x265 and the second one with x264

bit of a pointless test as they're encoded at different bit-rates.
There is nearly no difference
Quoteon top of that there are general standards of bit-rate to resolution ratios,
and for fullHD it's quite a bit bigger than 2.5 mbps
Never heard about general standards of bit-rate to resolution ratios.

But nevertheless YouTube uses around 5mbit/s for 1080p encoded with x264 and x265 goal is saving 50% bitrate.

--crf34 --preset veryslow was the x264 command line
psy-rd 1.0 was used in x265 also preset veryslow
