10 bit frames are messed up...

go for it :)
#2
ok now it worked but picture glitches....
i can only preview in 550d on desktop there ist still pixelmashup
i use raw2cdng 1.75
what do you use?
#3
didnt work on 550d :(
got only color pixel mashup, but the recording times are amazing...
#4

thanks a little bit faster than my lexar
#8
here i found someting interresting it seems there is a little bit more speed possible...

is there any new build for 550d?and what about the shoot malloc...the buffer seems to be larger than 2+31mb

any chance to unlock this?

thanks for this great raw tool!!

Raw Video / Re: 550d Buffer

no one an idea? or is it just immpossible...

@dlrpgmsvc

i didnt overcome the limit yet!!
but my friend the electronic hardware ingeneer says the the problem is by the controller.
we will disasample the controller from the rest and take look what we can do.according to the memory bechnmark the cam is defently faster than the sd controller!

Raw Video / 550d Buffer
June 08, 2013, 07:16:12 PM
hey guys

there must be more buffermemory on 550d.

iam can shoot 6 raws in a row till it stops.
6*22mb=132mb

were is the memory?
in raw modul we have only 2*31mb
can this be unlocked?

sorry for such dump questions;-)

hi guys

iam very sick in this days:-(but here is my 1280*544 Test.

sorry for bad cuts..

when my illness is gone i will shoot some max resolution test

and the good news the 550D has more power than 21.3mbs
i will work on this!!
#14
@ critical point

there will be no 1080/24p i think the max will be 720p if this mode will work
#15
to get an controller software would be no big problem...
#16
i will wait for his answer..and if he turn the signal to green i will buy a controller for 550d
#17
i personely can't read this out but i have a friend who maybe can... i write him and send him the benchmarks.iam waiting on his answer.

iam reading about sd host controllers...those this can be operation in many modes.so if the mode is set to sdxc highspeed the limit of the controller is 25mb/s thats theis the case on 550d i think.but there are to more modes one up to 50mb/s and one up to 105mb/s  for the sdxc standard...

#18
if we look on the memory benchmark the bus have to be more than 20. or iam wrong?
#19
mabye the controller itself is set to 25...
#20
we can look at it and use octokoppler with this tools the hardware of the cam isnĀ“t in danger.the 550d supports sdxc.the only true question is how fast is the busspeed 25 or 50..
#21
i have to disample the cam first.that can i do in the next week...

fact is that the 550d suports sdxc cards so maybe there is room for higher datarates with a new controller!

i will post any news on that in the future!

Hardware and Accessories / Canon 550D sd controller
June 03, 2013, 09:33:06 PM
helo guys

i felt in love with this amazing image comes from this cheap dslr.
but i think the only way to achieve more resolution is to do a passive bypass on the sd slot controller.
i ask a friend of mine, who is electronic hardware ingeenier to help me with this!!

what you think?it is possible...

iam looking forward for any help to push the sensorcapability of 550D on our cards in raw:-)
#23
iam shooting a short testfilm at 1280*544 at 18fps in 1080p mode....the images are amazing!!!

i recomend not to upscaling from 960 that ruined the wonderfull image...go down in framerates:-)

i put all my hope in a stable 1280*544 on 24fps maby a 10bit mode can fix that.

#24
tried exfat no speedimprovment on this...
#25
i tried it the same way but without clustersize...

i will try it in the afternoon:-)
