Can't access ML on your autoexec, trash button doesn't do anything.
I can access it only while in LV mode. Still, the continuous redrawing of the screen doesn't allow me to set things properly.
Send this patch to A1ex and let him compile the whole, maybe?
I can test it right now.

That means it will be possible to use virtually any lens, with the proper adapter?
Yes, almost every lens made by mankind :D
Just a bunch will be left outside.
If the NEX can mount them, the M system can as well.

Did you use enfuse?

The register distance of 18mm is interesting :P

I guess it made conflict with other options , 2 bad it was a time-saver.

New ML is AWESOME
Yes, if you don't find an option that used to be there it is either because it was conflicting with other cameras or functions or was not that useful.

Not available anymore.

It's free, but covered by NDA afaik. Which means, if we would get some knowledge from there, we probably can't use it in ML without getting in trouble
So that would be for personal use?

I'm sorry if i can't follow you well with the maths but, can you tell me briefly what's going on?
If you need some testing i can do it on my 50D with a pretty good card (8GB 400x) .

Apply for a license to EDSDK and give it a try.

I don't have one, so I can't help you.
Does it have nice things inside?
How much does it cost? You could invest some money from the donation towards the SDK.

I got huge bitrates for a few seconds with my 50D, like 188 mbps, but the that was probably too much for the camera.
Still, if there is no such appreciable gain in quality i see no point in using such bitrates since they're slower to process and tae up a lot of space.

Keep on going, more features are always a plus.

General Help Q&A / Re: ML 2.3

ML doesn't influence the recording capabilities since it's dependant upon bandwidth and card speed.

I vote for option 3 as well ;)
#741
Can it help the DryOS cameras as well, in respect of development?
#742
Go get some pesticide :P
Do you know how to solve this thing already?
#743
My response.
1) Yes
2) Yes
3) Yes
The LED blinks on both operations (open-close, unscrew-screw) .

I got the 50D as well but i don't actually have Linux installed now and anyway i suck at it so... :(
#745
Send a mail to Canon, try to see if they have an answer.
It might require a fix :)

General Help Q&A / Re: Focus patterns
July 18, 2012, 07:10:51 PM
I suggested, a while ago, to have the option of focus patterns work as the cropmarks since the pictures of the focus points layout is already available.
You can't always change the patterns or see if you selected it right with particular point selection mode or AF button assignation.

This is just for the cameras that have the mic input, right?

Hardware and Accessories / Zoom H1 teardown
July 15, 2012, 01:46:16 AM
I've been looking for a teardown of this little thing for quite a long time since it is so weak i always feared it would break up at the first removed screw.
Somebody has done the job for me and you can clearly see what's inside the recorder with all the electronical and electrical components. Might be of use to someone, i thought.

Unfortunately it won't work with newer grips since now the compartment opens from the side, and you need to eject the tray containing both batteries to replace any one of them (see picture below).

That's for rebel only, am i correct?

Can you confirm that this works?:
- Start with the lid open and two batteries
- Power up camera
- Hotswap one battery
- Camera doesn't shutdown

If so, I'll have a look at the firmware to see if I can spot something
It wors for me with 50D and BG-E2 clone :)
I bet every BG works the same ;)
