Very good. Looks like you shot it on film.

On the 5D3 with ML, all controlls works with the crane. F-stop, shutter, start/stop and the follow focus.
Report the issue to zhiyun, perhaps they will make a firmware update.

The Zhiyun Crane 2 works fine with my 6D as well. Granted, I cannot access the Magic Lantern menu itself, but all the controls through the Crane 2 like start/stop record, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and even the follow focus wheel work perfectly.

Hi Melvin, great vid, amazing!!!
I have a question, where did you get the sound fx, can you share with us?
Thanks, and keep the good work!

That is some beautiful footage. Have been considering a gimbal myself for use with my 5d3. Overall, are you satisfied with the Crane 2? This model keeps popping up in most of my research.

As described in the article linked, youtube needs a cue on if the file is HDR or not, so you have to write this on metadata. They have a tool on github and also a tutorial for premiere pro, you can just read on the article. The ARRI channel on youtube have now many HDR videos, if you want samples...
I you the file also needs to be in Rec.2020, so that's a problem if you're (like me) using MLVApp or other software that only supports Rec.709.

What about follow focus, does it work with ML?
Quote from: 50mm1200s on April 19, 2018, 07:26:47 AM
Wow, very dynamic movements. I like the film-like color grading and the sound design is very good too.
Just a question: how are you uploading it to youtube? I've downloaded it using youtube-dl and the DASH manifest is odd. As a recommendation: youtube has now HDR support (10-12bit) and they suggest you upload in ProRes with modified metadata and matroska container (.mkv). Will take more time to upload, but I think this would fix some banding in your video...

Wow
Can you please tell more about new Zhiyun Crane 2 with ML. Does it perform all features with ML?

Hey Melvin, good job. I like your video essays (seems to be quite inspired by Nerdwriter1), although I would suggest you go a bit beyond and start to talk about philosophy and/or science. I'd recommend you a yt channel called "Shots of Awe", it has some pretty good videos.
About your workflow, are you using ImpulZ? The greens and yellow seem to be approximated to the reds, which make it very "teal and orange" kind of coloration. I do like it, but (I don't know you guys), I'm getting a little sick of all this teal and orange thing. People should go people just two colors.
I really like this transition effect too.

You create such inspiring videos. I also have a 6D and wondering how you are able to record at 50fps 1824 x 776?
Sorry if you have answered this before,I am new. thanks
Im using a 95mbs card btw.

Really surprised on how much you got away with mv720 (60p and no fps override used, right?) mixed together w Twixtor. Amazing stuff really and thanks for sharing @Melvin Jose!

That was great, and inspiring to see what's possible. Please keep posting!

@Melvin This is really amazing! I love the cleanliness and sharpness! but what i dont understand is: how did you manage to shoot over 720p on a 6D?!
I have a delkin SD card that runs at 100mbps writing speed.

but it still refuses to shoot over 720p on 30 fps. If you have done slow motion with twixtor then i believe you have shot on 60fps. How?!

Beautiful film. I am a total beginner at colour correction/grading. I have Davinci Resolve 12. Do you use a specific LUT or look? Can you give a little detail about your workflow from flat image to colour graded. Any advice most appreciated!

Nicely done. How in the world did you record 60fps raw video at that resolution on a 6D?
Quote from: cmccullum on September 27, 2016, 12:19:19 AM
Very nice! Please tell me how you did the transition at 26-27sec! I've been trying to figure that crap out for months

I too also want to know how you did that, the slowdown. I hardly saw any warping at all which is the usual case when slowing down videos even with a plugin such as twixtor. Good job. Please tell us how.
