Jayb, I think the files you are using from the post you are mentioning are from the 28th of august, it maybe that the build is very old. Try using a newer build:

As xNineLives has pointed, I have been able to record 1920x816 (2:39) and over if you choose zoom x5, not more than 8 secs at that res, but for me enough to get a shot. Continuous recording is another matter, which like everyone is saying for our 6D seems pretty difficult to archive.

Without going to crop mode I think we can not go further than 1792x752 (2:39) and I am getting round 11-12 secs, which is not bad either, upscaling that to 1080p you get pretty good results.

Cool 1%, and thanx. Will that be in the next build?

I just need to say that I love the spirit of this project/team and I hope you never change guys. I wish I knew how to code to help more on it, and it is not actually to get a better firmware/version but to keep feeling that we are here just for the love of it. :)

Hi, well I don´t really know that, I´m using QT, because it doesn´t give any problems really :) Probably losless AVI is as good or better, but honestly I have not try AVIs.

The fact that is 10 bit or 8 for me at that point is a bit useless, as where I take advantage of the amount of info  store in the raw files is in Adobe Camera Raw, then once I ´ve done all the adjustments for colour and lighting in AE I export it  to Premiere to edit the shots and render out to something that Vimeo can swallow. :)

All this is just for the tests, as been able to adjust the footage with ACR is just pretty new :) With standard (no raw) footage usually I would do the opposite, import into premiere first, edit and then colour grade it, but since only AE allow me to import dng I start from there instead of premiere.

I´ve just done a quick search these could help you with the amount of colours stored in the files regarding if 8bits, 10bits, 12bits, etc...

Hi Random, from AE I choose Quicktime (QT) Format: Uncompressed 10bit 4:2:2 (this basically is a MOV file uncompressed) then I take that in premiere and export as quicktime mp4 (h264) for uploading to Vimeo.

I´m on a PC so no ProRes for me I believe (at least as far as I know only Mac can use it). :)

Cheers!  ;)
I´ve done some more editing without touching saturation in ACR (the previous one I desaturated and lower vibrance quite a lot) of the shots I took the other day.

All were indoors and some of them not much light in the room (couple of torch that my kids were playing around)

I have been editing the first tests I did few days ago, here are some shots using 6D+ML Raw Video, shots are at different resolutions as they were part of the tests.

Jankyy, my humble opinion (I´ve got like you a 6D and a Sandisk Extreme Pro 32Gb) is if you are using the camera for work or you need safety then get a few of these ones:
http://www.amazon.com/Transcend-Class-Flash-Memory-TS32GSDHC10E/dp/B003VNKNF0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1370727865&sr=8-2&keywords=sd+card

Which are round 25$ and use them for work (I´ve got 8 of those), then for testing ML I use the Sandisk Ext. Pro. If it is really not essential for your work (just yet) to record RAW footage, then have a couple at least of cards so you can switch them.

Thanx so much nandoide, i´m doing tests now with Alex hack. :)

jajaja! Actually bare in mind it is not only down to the camera ram, but to the transfer data that the cards can hold, and with the 6D for example we have a bottleneck only been able to use SD cards that seems to reach max ~39-40mb/s. :(

On a 6D, continuous recording at 1280X720 24p no issues, as it saves 36,9mb/s no problems, but  higher than that at some point stops recording.

Hi, I´m trying to do some tests with a Sandisk Extreme Pro 32Gb

I see the only way to get 32x7 is using still mode the go to NR and selecting Multi, then I can see the 32x7, but on this lastest version ([113] Just small Changes.zip) I can not go higher than 1792 width, could you let me know how to try higher than that?
#16
I have been doing some tests if this can help to fill the 6D gaps.

Using [113] Just small Changes.zip with latest H264inis.zip.

Sandisk Extreme Pro 32Gb, 95m/s.

32x7 modules, hack on, and all at 24fps 16:9, in still mode using Raw Video.

1600 x 928 - 192
1665 x 944 - 180,180,180
1728 x 992 - 143,143,143
1792 x 1000 - 121,130,120,130,130,130

And the problem is that with latest build we can not go further on resolutions, it is limited to 1792 width. So it will be very helpful to unlock the limits so we can try to push a little further.

I am going to be doing some more test at other res, and trying to do the same but hack off.

I have noticed what someone has been commenting earlier about not been able to use the aperture of ISO, seems they are locked by the camera and changes seems not have any effect. Is this something that has been done on purpose? Thanx and sorry for my english.  ;)

Any specific tests that needs to be done please let me know and I will try to do them, but with the limits on resolution as said I can not test higher than these.

All the test I have done were with a card formatted exFat and I have not seen much difference with your results tho.

I have been doing some test with small changes & new inis using a sandisk 32Gb 95mb and is it constant 280 frames at 1792x752 and one time recording with crop factor 295frames, so I think it is pretty much the same as the others, doesnt make much of a difference between the 45mb and the 95mb sd cards.

Hi and thanx KVG5, I was having the same problems than xNiNELiVES, got a sandisk extreme pro 32Gb to try but I didn´t know how to get all the buffers.  ;) Cheers.
I´ll do some test I will report them asap.

I have ordered a Sandisk Extreme Pro 32Gb 95m/s. I should have it in a couple of days.

I will let you know as soon as I can start testing it how it goes.

kgv5, what SD card are you using? SanDisk Extreme Pro 64 or 32? I´ve seen one is sdxc the other sdhc, does it make any difference?

Thanks.

This is truly stunning! ML team are amazing & talented people, in few days are improving buffer size to new levels and we must not forget that on this case (6D) they have to deal with the SD card limits, this is really remarkable.

Well done guys, keep it up.

P.S. If anyone comes around Valencia (Spain) I´ll be more than happy to buy them a round  :)
