Hello hjfilmspeed,

I am certainly willing to include these exciting methods once they are workable.
For now, they don't work on either of my machines.
I have posted in the RAW2GPCF thread already.

For now, I implemented some new stuff in my new Beta in Post 1. Check it out! ;)
#127

Now I put all the files it showed as yellow inside the Tools folder, which are gpsvc.dll and sysntfy.dll and ieshims.dll.

It still crashed, I updated Cineform studio, no luck. Version 1.02 of RAW2GPCF- no luck, too.
I don't know what else to read from the dependencywalker - does someone understand what it says?

maybe someone can check where these dlls lie on their system? thanks! :)
#128
Okay,

GPSVC.dll - sounds like goproservice?
#129

what do you think? putting that dll in the tools folder didnt help.

EDIT: sorry for double post. The dll is in my c:/program files/internet explorer and in c:/program files (x86)/internet explorer

now it crashes on me too... I copied the raw2gpcf.exe into my cineform tools folder, and when running it says "problem occurred..."

I tried replacing the DLLs which only makes the crash occur a second or so earlier.
Thoughts?

Im on Win7 64 - I bet its another "rights" problem...

EDIT:
my .bat file looks like this:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\CineForm\Tools\raw2gpcf.exe" "X:\test\M0000000.RAW" "X:\test\M0000000.avi" -422 -c
#132
I will make both options available, I redesigned the interface and will try to make it a one-stop on-set solution for storing our RAW files.
#133
this is my commandline for RAW2GPCF:

Quoteraw2gpcf M0000000.raw "C:\output.avi" -422 -c -f25

it runs for a while, displaying some dots and 0.000fps and then says DONE!
- but no output.

what am I doing wrong?
#134
what does this mean exactly? small buffer?
#135
Please try it! Great idea!
#136
I am using the
Quote-w -H 2
parameters only.
#137
currently it is not possible.
It is harcoded.
What would you like to change?

@IliasG:
If I am not mistaken, Aftereffects is the only software capable of processing the Canon DNGs at the moment anyway-
and Aftereffects also supports the lossy DNGs as far as I know.

I think an option for lossless and lossy compression would be a good Idea in BATCHelor.

As for the file naming, I dont really see the benefit of this, as you delete your .RAW files after conversion, don't you? Why would the DNGs start at 0 then?
#139
You don't need Imagemagick anymore. My app just works out of the download now.  :)
#140
Just use the newest Raw2Dng.exe you can find, it worked for me at least. :)

I am currently thinking about making this something of an app you use on your notebook on set, so it copies, and optionally compresses your DNGs aswell.
What are some of the compression options out there?
I was thinking of some tests with Adobes DNG Converter. Ideally we could use some freeware for this aswell like 7-zip.
Other ideas?

7-zip gives about 50% on ultra and 80% on fastest compression setting.
I will also look at the lossy compression from Adobe.

EDIT: lossy compression is great, you seem to lose no detail, but filesize is greatly decreased. My first test gave a reduction to about 34% file size while remaining directly usable. this is great!

Hello,

I made a small mistake in the 1.2 version, please download again, the prompt is now removed.
It is called version 1.2a - and it is right here as always:

Hello guys, I like RAW2GPCF, unfortunately it shows a lot of dots, then says it is done, but no output file is generated.

What are the requirements for it to work?
I have the Codec installed.
#143
...and uses cjpeg to make jpgs from the ppm files DCraw puts out. :)
- but other than that.. that is how it works. Happy you find it useful! :)

@3pointedit: you talk about the thumbnail?
I used the highlight recovery option in DCraw- this may be the cause.
Otherwise we look at blown out hightlights i suppose.
#144
Surprise!

I had an idea and now it seems to be working. v1.2 out NOW! :)
As always, download from my website:
http://fatpigtures.com/software/

Let me know how it works for you.
#145
Hello guys, DCRaw will be included and portable.
It does not output jpg, so I am currently working a little longer on that.
We should see a release in the next week or so.
Until then I believe you have to be admin to install imagemagick..
#146
@renevg:
tried running it as admin?
tried putting your files somewhere simple? (like C:\test\)

@Northernlight:
The installer for imagemagick is not exactly my area.. if you have it installed there will be a shortcut to the imagemagick.exe inside your start menu folder.

I think soon we will not need Imagemagick anymore. :)
DCRaw implementation was successful, wait some days. :)
#147
thanks, but obviously noone uploads unconverted .RAW files. all are DNG. I need the source to test the conversion process.. :)

until that gets sorted, you may be interested in the BATCHelor, which lets you name your files while converting to DNG.

have a nice day :)

no audio is a bummer. especially since it is such a low-end feature, but means the world to pluraleyes users like me :-P
#150
Hello guys, I'm at home right now, I tried to implement DCraw and the hide feature, but i dont have a .RAW file here for testing right now.
If anyone would upload a small .RAW file for me to work with I would appreciate it.

Thanks
