One of my .RAW clips from the 5DII has Black Level of 2293 instead of 1024, as reported by RAW2CDNG-
How can I edit this?

All conversion apps make it ugly green looking as a result.

I just wrote an automatic join app for my utility BATCHelor, it is not quite ready yet- is this still an issue?

This is how one clip turned out. It is an important take.
Is there any method to correct this?

Exposure and White Balance sliders did not help in ACR.
It turns out this way with RAW2GPCF and RAW2CDNG.

the split .RAW files can not be processed without joining them first. RAW2GPCF immediately closes.
GingerHDR managed to skip the joining step so I guess it is technically possible.

Really fine work! Especially for my weak laptop PC, which handles all RAW data nicely with CineForm!

Is it possible for you to make it read the .RAW, .R00, .R01, etc. split files from the 5DII  sequentially without us having to join those beforehand?
This is really time consuming.

I would like to know if it is possible to not have to join .RAW and .R00 , .R01,... split files beforehand, as this is tedious.

Can you implement the extraction of CDNG from split files natively? 

Hi Guys, I just finished a Week of shooting with our beloved 5DII RAW and worked on the automatic copying and joining of files.

I am currently thinking about iplementing copy/join only option because once you extracted your DNGs from .RAWs, there is no way to get cinemaDNG out of those, is there?

What are some of your thoughts on what BATCHelor should do on set exactly?
looking to keep your .RAWs?

My experience on set was not to process the .RAW Files because cards filled up as fast as I could copy the .RAWs, so no HDD speed for processing left..

@Shield: I am changing the enumeration to the origin file name
(which seems to have changed from 00001, 0002, etc. to current time like 1149, 1150, 1200,...)
- so your set assistant can keep track of file names for syncing audio.

try to find out if some funky folder path is the problem, delete config.ini and set your source/destination again.

this is really a problem on set. unless you have a server with RAID, I see no option other than usb 3.0 / Firewire and ssd.

I am looking to implement spanning support in BATCHelor.

Can someone tell me if the latest raw2dng supports spanned files without having to join them first?
this is another step in the chain i would like to avoid.

is it possible to use raw2dng on the .RAW , the .R00 and the .R01 separately, or does it only work for .RAW that is joined beforehand?
I would like to avoid joining files on harddisk first..

PS: if someone could send me R00 and RAW i would appreciate it.

Does this also work with a dng sequence?

the missing fps on 5DII are supposed to be my fault, because of some wrong handling with the hack. I heard if done right, the 5D does write the correct fps in the file-

black level switch would be great, also I dont know where to look up the black level for each camera

maybe unusable for final render, but I think this is the way to go for fast proxies!

4K video does not look good , even on my only 2.5k monitor.
really nasty edges.
upscaling = bad idea.

Okay, still crashes.
Maybe there is something else about the 5DII File. Do you have access to one?
Would it help if I uploaded a 5DII .RAW for testing purposes?

I am trying to reproduce the problem, but until now, no luck.

just to confirm, this works for me:
What I mean is, choose your .RAW folder, click nothing else, press GO.
It works, done.
Then, press GO again.

Then there is no output in the new, second DNG folder?

I would love to.
Sadly, DNG is not listed as a File Type, so I cant see it.

manually deleting files should not be a problem while batchelor is not running.

try to reproduce the error-
on your system, just let batchelor process the same folder twice in a row.
if everything works correctly you will get 2 folders, one with number 1, one with number 2.

let me know how it works, also try to run as admin and use short paths like C:\test to narrow down the problem.

I can not open any DNG sequences in cineform studio GUI version. nothing happens when dropping my DNG folder in the import bin.
Is that normal?

"divisible by 16" - that one got me thinking.
As I am on 5DII, not III - my res. is 1880 - which is not divisible by 16.
There may be the problem.

EDIT: You did it! It works! Indeed, it is all in the resolution. Man this is fast! No way for 1880 to be included?
New question: with the full cineform studio app, how do I make it accept the DNGs? I dropped a folder with DNGs on the import bin. no import. Also tried your 5DIII file (after using raw2dng), which it doesn't accept, also. what did I miss?

as these tools you mention, like VR2CF.exe only ship with premium, are you sure that I don't need premium for your tool to work?
I am trying to obtain a Phantom Raw file to test with vr2cf.exe now..

also, on this site http://cineform.tistory.com/128
they say that vr2cf.exe needs another exe to run- and that these belong in the windows/system32 folder...

which command line tool would I use for converting regular H.264?
