is there a FAQ for the 70d ml?  or could we create one?  it might keep most of the repetitive new user questions here to a minimum.  i can't do it as i am one of those newbies, but i'd help work on it.  if needed i could host it off on a static webpage of it's own.

may be a silly question by why is raw video being converted and stored as dng as the 70d cr2s work fine in photoshop and vegas pro.  wouldn't they save faster to the card as cr2?

WTF someone with a problem with the files created by the ml 70d firmware can't get help here???  what is more on topic than that?  and where are they supposed to go for help if not here?  snottiest forum i've run across in ages.

the dng files don't work in vegas pro 13 either. it would be nice if they did!

photoshop cc on a pc will not open the dng's.

can you put the originals before conversion to dng in the file sharing site?

@george - photoshop cc dng can't read them here either.  both mediainfo and vegas pro claim they are 128x84.  possibly they are just thumbnails in messed up files.  but vegas accepts them as valid input at that tiny size.

@george  they are 128x84 pixels.  vegas can read them.  here's them rendered.

@george964 any filesharing site.  do you have a m.s. hotmail with a onedrive?  mega account?

i had a bad battery that would produce the same results in my 60d.  screens turned on but nothing displayed and the led for the sd card would stay lit all the time.

ok i'm in. iceman installed, the "a" version worked fine first time.  but i seem to be a dope, the feature i'm trying to find isn't on the menu.  how do you get audio meters to show in movie mode?  i looked in the ml/canon menus and don't see it.  checked the modules and don't see one to install for levels?

i don't seem to have an audio tab in the menus at all? is this one accessable in the 70d like in the 60d?

is it only me or does the development of this 70d ml seem a bit off?  i have used ml for a couple years on my 60d and am quite happy with it.  i need the standard still frame type stuff like HDR multiframe control and the standard video stuff like audio levels and manual control along with zebras.  i am more than happy with the 70d 90mb/s ALL I-FRAME video with autofocus control and have no use for raw video.

so there is nothing in these alpha versions i would want, but if the standard stuff were added i'd gladly help test it out.

@walter schulz - oh well, at least it's a lexar and does 85MB/s write in UHS-I

@olrivrrat - ok might have been a one off.  it was the only time i'd ever tried having a mac read a ml card.  won't do it again.  almost lost that card.

does anyone know if the 70d has a UHS2 sd card interface?  i just picked up a card read writes an honest, tested 200MB/s but only if used in a UHS2 device.

@ tryanbran

if you are still checking the thread - is there any way for you to use a pc rather than a mac?  i've had trouble with macs trashing cards with ml files on them.  something about the file extensions used macs don't like and they write a bunch of hidden files/folders to the card that you can't see.  i've taken a working ml card out of a camera, checked it on a pc, put it in a mac pro and then neither the pc nor the camera could read them.  a low level format was the only way to fix it.
