Nice and inspiring video. Instant favorite over at YouTube.

I usually try to keep the lens information in my head when I go out and take pictures. Usually the bag is not filled with all the lenses so it should be no problem to keep track of the numbers. Back in the day you read about f/8 everywhere as the sweet spot and nowadays most lenses seem to be performing best around f/5.6...

All sites have iso12233 charts, or similar which are handy to find out the facts about each lens.. There are also a lot of forums that can fill in the gaps which are left out in the various reviews... ML would probably become very bloated if everything was to be put in the memory or on the sd..

Some examples...

General Chat / Re: POLL: What model to work on next?
September 22, 2012, 05:36:12 PM
EOS 650D, EOS M, EOS 6D. In that order, or whenever we might see updates.

Anyone owning the 60Da camera? Is it similar to 60D except for the filter in front of the sensor?

There are some great cameras in the older 1D lineup, which might be interesting to look at. They are selling over here roughly at the same price, or slightly more expensive than the 5d2:s on the second hand market...

Feature Requests / Re: exif and
August 23, 2012, 03:06:34 PM
I'm also a bit interested in some kind of EXIF editing but only as long as it does not interfer with a lot of other features. On the Canon 5D Mark II I usually get a "50mm" lens when I'm running an unchipped lens. Changing lens might complicate stuff... Perhaps something like choosable templates (with several on the card) to choose from could work.

General Help Q&A / White Balance and Raw conversion
June 29, 2012, 11:02:44 AM
With ML I can set the white balance to some pretty extreme numbers and also control the individual RGB values. But when  importing these files into the various raw converters I sometimes run into problems:

Adobe Camera Raw 7.1 (PS, Lightroom) 2000-50000 K  -150,+150 tint
Dx0 Optics 2000-20000 K -100,+100 tint.
Aperture 2000-10000 K -50,+50 tint.

There are of course a few that goes under 2000K:

Capture One 800-14000 K -50,+50 tint.
LightZone 1000-40000 K -20,+20 tint.
Corel Aftershot Pro 1500-10000 K -150,+150 tint.
Bibble 1500-10000 K -150,+150 tint.

Anyone know of any other programs?

I know Picasa seems to solve stuff quite ok, Pixelmator similarly and the preview of mac as well.

Nice work, Screamer.

I did some tests with using a boosted live view, which have shown helpful not only for night photography but also for infrared photography.
