@masc  was probably a couple different light sources, natural from a window, tungsten overhead, but no fluorescent.  I've tested all other builds from the past couple months in the same environment, with same shutter, but this is the first I've noticed this in the past couple builds.

Turning this off has stopped it.

nothing changed from what the preset script loads. seems to only be doing it in 5x crop.  It doesn't do it at 1/100 shutter and above, only below. It's not just in cameras live view, it's baked in to the MLV file

about to load the March 14th build and see if it's still present

anybody else notice a flicker in latest build?  almost like a line sync effect

I need the build from March 6th to test and hopefully able to duplicate, but don't see it on the bitbucket page, do you happen to still have that build handy?

Please upload a MLV file which recorded uncropped in this resolution. The resolution you mention is only working with Movie crop mode(x3crop) without rewired preset applied. This resolution can probably be starting point also with rewired preset on when starting cam but push canon menu to get into correct mode.
If you managed to record in non cropped mode you need to inspect the actual file recorded. Proof.

This has happened about 3 times now, I purposely tried to test it with most recent build but it didn't happen, so i may install the previous build to see if it happens with it.

Also, I've lost sound in the past few builds, whereas before it was flawless.  Sound setting is enabled.

Has anybody else noticed or experienced, after installing a new build (specifically in the past week or so), upon first boot of the camera, you can record without crop in a resolution that is very close to 1080, (1800x1032) but after that take, the liveview gets messed up, until you magnify to 5x crop and then it will record in the 2.5K resolution, but all of this happens without making any settings changes in the ML menu.  If this could be a permanent setting without the screen glitch...that would be the most perfect build in my opinion  8)

I'm asking this question as a Magic Lantern over EVERYthing loyalist, so don't kill me for asking. lmao

Has anybody ever attempted it, or is it known to be impossible?  (and I'm sorry if this has been asked a million times, I don't hang out in the general discussion often)

One may ask, "but why would you need to?" and before today, I would have said there really wouldn't be too many reasons, but now that the BRAW format has been released for the Pocket 4K, people are discovering that BMD will no longer include shooting in CinemaDNG with their cameras, thanks to RED patents.  From my understanding, the patent only refers to "compressed RAW", so why wouldn't BMD settle for removing compressed and use uncompressed along with BRAW, unless their cameras don't have the horsepower?  Basically, all this has led me to asking this question here...to people I know that know their shit. lol

I did a quick 1 clip test of the new 1080 setting and my results were similar to the screen shot a few post up.  ISO was at 800, that's the only specific setting remember, I deleted already assuming it was something I had wrong, but I figured I'd report the issue letting you know it may be something in the build
#36
Yeah, 24 or 30 is what I shoot most. But in this situation, tre most stable is all that matters. :)
#37
Those vertical lines were visible, but scouts honor I didn't adjust fps override.  I'll see if I can recreate the issue with newest build, but so far I haven't seen anything of it.
#38
Anybody getting vertical lines in newest or 2nd newest build or is it more user error on my part?

😂

If anybody cares, I've created a Facebook group dedicated to "MLV RAW ON EOS M"
https://m.facebook.com/groups/375018026655820?ref=share

Build masters and original ML pioneers get automatic admin status. ;)

Some quick shots from yesterday, nothing scientific, just random lighting situations, motion cadence, and sound.  There is some stabilization on a couple clips, so if you see any quick jitters, it's more than likely stabilization, the Jeep logo shot for sure has a slight bounce.  If you have any questions I'll do my best to answer.
(A majority of this footage was shot with the 2nd newest build, not the updated scripts build)

Nothing changed regarding white level in later builds. Pink fix still needs attention and testing.

I didn't think it had, so I'm guessing I had settings overlapping that was creating the issue, when I tried to recreate it last night I couldn't.  I'm just happy with how fast the stability is improving.

The pink highlights have vanished, buuuut I was successful in recording 555 frames of 2.5k.  Keep up the good work!

#43
It was the iso 800 preset, so if it only happens at 100 that explains it.
#44
Loading the 1080 12bit script and changing to 10bit seems to get rid of pink highlights? I may have changed something else, but I'm sure changing the bit helped.
#45
What setting would be causing all highlights to be pink?  I've tried several variations of settings adjustments but pink is all I get, so I figured I'd stop and ask for directions. lmao
#46
In about 10 seconds of recording I have like 20+ dropped frames, more or less depending on the detial probably
.  It is telling me in the top right corner while recording, not sure if it is complately accurate or not.
#47
I get tons of dropped frames on MK3 in 5x crop.

from card reader or trough USB to camera?

card reader, I have a different reader i'm about to try now.

update: different reader still no luck, going to try on a mac and a different PC.  maybe a windows update is causing me a glitch.

mk3 mlvraw images and raw video can be viewed in cam, but PC doesn't recognize any media on the card? sorry if this has been discussed already.
