VC is good when it works :) On my lens it works for first 10-15 minutes only for some reason.

Is this normal for this Tamron? Maybe you can try and have it replaced...

Raw Video / Re: Spanning

I'm still using spanning, exactly for that same reason: you need a bit of "support" where even @ 1080p the inconsistency kicks in...

#1 I've also noticed better results with faster SD cards, regardless of 5DM3's slot bandwidth

1.  20MB/s.  Faster cards are always better, regardless of the slot speed IMO.
2.  Automatically
3.  I have a 16GB Lexar 1000x, and for me, this card is not quite able to record 1920x1080 consistently.  Sometimes I might get 1000 frames, or only 200 frames.
With card spanning on, I can record until card full.

I'd be interested in hearing how many people actually use spanning.  It was a rather popular feature request.

Ahaaaa... so handheld with the stabilized Tamron is a different story :) I was wondering: how on earth are those shots so tripod-like stable... Thanks!

I am not sure if it's the new version of this add-on, but the previous seems to do a much better job. Maybe it's a combination of different clips and a bit of "luck" :) Who knows... Still a pretty good one though!

Goood stufff!!! What glass did u use?

Its essential to start with script and get an overall idea what sounds u'll be needing, i.e. recording. I dont know of any guides, but a Google search will show you at least a ton :)

Say hi to the bad guy: http://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve, Blackmagic Design has released version 11 just about now...
Check the What's new video @ the address above, not being able to add it here because it's not public on Vimeo...

Update: Not available for download yet...

Well if you can spend a buck you can buy the OFX version of NEAT video and use it in Davinci resolve.
This way you can reconnect the proxies in davinci and do all your finishing work here.

I did that already, but at the time the Premiere plug made more sense. Now i have to spend €169.90 again for the OFX version :( Dammnnnnn, too much somehow.
Don't get me wrong, the plugin does best at what it does, but that price... not really ready to pay that much right now.
Who knows... if the "workaround" costs more time/effort/hdd space/etc...at the end, i might as well go for it
