The PicPac looks cool, but check this out:
I tested the device with a SanDisk 16GB CF card loaded with just under 4GB of still image files. The device had no problem reading the card, and the transfer took about 12 minutes.

Now think of having a 64/128GB card...

Hey, it's very important to try and get an idea as what sounds on set you'll have to track... Ambient, dialog, "micro" sounds, etc... This is crucial for the mic range in particular...

I see the point, but how do you deal with the price aspect: $639.95 - 128GB?
When storage prices get close to the price range of glass (in the DSLR world of course) things get a bit, how should i say...

hey @a1ex, i did and i was wondering what it "means" as i was already using RAW, but not that pure RAW
And yeah, it's probably a bug, because i could see the "full-green" dot for SRAW1(5D2, don't know if it's the same on 5DM3)

PS. No, it's not a bug! It'll not work with SRAW1 (double-checked)

Something i might have been the only one to get stuck with, when trying dual-iso on the 5d2, but here's the solution...

I was trying to get dual-iso to work, but couldn't get a "full-green" dot for Dual ISO in ML / Expo menu. It was a semi-green dot.
Now, since i shoot SRAW2, i thought that might be it, since i've tried everything else. And that was it: you'll get it to work if you use SRAW1 or the bigger brother, RAW.

I know it makes sense to all of you who shoot in the largest RAW, but that's where i was stuck.

Yeah, 5DM2 doesn't have an SD, just the old CF...

@Walter, I did that already, and who knows why i didn't post it up I had speeds about 70MB/s using Pixelflash's CF cardreader...
Which made me post here on the first place, as i couldn't figure out what am i doing wrong...

PS: I believe the real company behind those Duracell CFs is Dane Elec No bells ringnin? Which i won't go after, the thing was, CrystalDiskMark gave me some numbers, i thought i could start messing with RAW on 720p, but... noup!

I know it's not a 1000x, and i know it's a "Duracell" too, but i've seen somewhere much better speeds from the same card...

Do you use any in-cam Noise Reduction?
